TNA Destination X 2012 PPV - here is your spot for live results coverage and a review to go along with it. Who is going to win? TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode defends his title against Austin Aries, who will forfeit his X-Division championship for the title shot. The Bound for Glory series continues with Kurt Angle against Samoa Joe. AJ Styles faces Christopher Daniels in a Last Man Standing match. The new X-Division champion is crowned in a tournament ending with the Ultimate X match (participants include Zema Ion, Kid Kash, Doug Williams, Sonjay Dutt, Rashad Cameron, and more).

PREDICTIONS: Bobby Roode will retain the title through some sort of cheating method as to keep Austin Aries looking strong. Hopefully Zema Ion, Kid Kash, Doug Williams, Sonjay Dutt, and Rashad Cameron will all NOT be the winners and the new X-Division champ will be someone else not listed already. Kurt Angle will get further along in the Bound for Glory series than Samoa Joe will. AJ Styles should beat Christopher Daniels.

X-Division title belt is hanging above the ring. Taz is out with Jeremy Borash replacing him for the night on commentary. Thankfully Don West isn't filling that spot.

Last Chance Qualifying Match: Rubix vs. Mason Andrews vs. Lars Only vs. Dakota Darsow
The winner of this match gets another shot at winning the X-Division championship tournament. Crowd seems to like Rubix the best - at least at first. I think I'm rooting for Darsow in this. Mason Andrews does a nice plancha to Darsow and Only. Rubix flips himself out of the ring as well on all three. Whomever wins, apparently their match right after this is against Kid Kash. Is this going to be one of those quick roll-up victories where Kash loses? I could see that happening. Superplex/power bomb spot with everyone other than Rubix, who takes advantage afterward. Mason Andrews ends up pinning Lars Only for the victory.

WINNER: Mason Andrews via pinfall.
Decent match. I would have probably started off with a normal tournament match just to space things out.

Kid Kash comes out quite quickly to start his match and goes on the offensive against Mason Andrews.

Kid Kash vs. Mason Andrews
Kash is naturally dominating Mason, who gets a few dropkicks in and not much else. Andrews starts picking up some steam after Kash misses a high risk maneuver. Crowd's behind him, particularly on a near-fall. Number of reversals lead to Mason Andrews getting a tricky pin on Kid Kash.

WINNER: Mason Andrews via pinfall.
Not too bad. Makes sense to put Andrews over instead of Kash. Hopefully they capitalize on that and either have him be the #1 contender after someone else wins or just have him win the Ultimate X match itself.

Backstage, Christy Hemme asks Samoa Joe who will win the World Heavyweight Championship match. Joe puts over Austin Aries and says he'll win. Hemme asks Joe what his strategy is going into his match with Kurt Angle. Joe says Kurt is 10 points to him and he'll make him tap out. He'll win by any means necessary.

Douglas Williams vs. Kenny King
King's got the crowd behind him. If they want to be particularly interesting, they'll have him win this match and continue having all newer guys in the Ultimate X match. King seems to be enjoying himself a lot, that's good. Williams isn't able to hit the Rolling Chaos Theory. King hits a few kicks to the head. Nice springboard neckbreaker on Williams.King hits what looked like a spinebuster from a Fireman's carry for the win.

WINNER: Kenny King via pinfall.
Not bad.

Backstage, Hemme talks to Christopher Daniels, who says he's no longer a friend of AJ Styles but a winner. Styles is the kind fo guy who would lay down instead of stand up when the going gets tough. So on and so forth.

Sonjay Dutt vs. Rashad Cameron
Dropkick city. Crowd is pro-Sonjay. Some good moves, but nothing crazy to talk about. I spoke too soon, as Sonjay Dutt hits a moonsault that twists into a double footstomp on Rashad Cameron's stomach to win the match.

WINNER: Sonjay Dutt via pinfall.
The last move was better than the rest of the match. It's getting a little tiring to watch the same type of match in a threepeat.

Tenay and Borash talk a bit about Jesse Sorensen. Now they're running a video package about his current health status. He's apparently doing pretty well, considering. Christy Hemme announces him and Sorensen comes out to much applause (naturally). He looks pretty good, walking relatively fine on his own, hugging his mom and girlfriend in the crowd. His girlfriend looks pissed - or worried - or bored. "Welcome back" chant starts. He wants to thank everyone who has supported him. Jesse hopes that Zema Ion takes the title so he can come back and take the championship from him. He promises that at next year's Destination X, he'll be the X-Division champion and cash in the title to win the world championship. Jesse starts to leave and Zema Ion comes out, taunting him and walking to the ring.

Zema Ion vs. Flip Cassanova
Zema Ion should win this one, after that setup. Plus, they could use another heel in the Ultimate X match. Cassanova is flipping all over the place. Quite entertaining. Ion wastes some time on his hair, letting Cassanova get back in the swing of things. Flip misses a...well..flip...and now Ion is back in charge. Ion takes that chance and ends up with the win.

WINNER: Zema Ion via pinfall.
Cassanova was the highlight of the match, bouncing around like a lunatic. I'd like to see more of him in the future.

Backstage, Hemme is talking to the other three participants for the Ultimate X match. They all tout themselves as going to win. Bobby Roode interrupts and says this is about him, they'll all fail like Aries will, he's the man, etc.

Bound for Glory Series: Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe
Crowd is split. Match is about even. Joe goes for a submission but Angle reverses into an ankle lock. Joe escapes but walks into the German suplexes. Joe reverses an Angle Slam and puts Angle in the Muscle Buster, but Angle gets out of it and twists into the ankle lock. Joe then hits the Muscle Buster, but Angle kicks out. Another ankle lock, another reversal by Joe who puts Angle in the rear naked choke hold. Angle withstands. Joe gets another one in. Referee Earl Hebner calls for the bell even though Angle didn't tap out.

WINNER: Samoa Joe via submission.
Not bad. Surprised Joe won.

With that, Samoa Joe is now in the lead of the tournament. Behind him is Storm, then Jeff Hardy, then Kurt Angle.

Last Man Standing Match: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels
This storyline is so stupid. It was a lot better when it was an adultery angle (though they still had stupid things going on with it during then as well). Decent, but nothing particularly exciting happening. Not much to talk about. Kazarian comes out to just push AJ Styles off the stage when it looks like he's got the edge on Daniels and could potentially win. AJ hits the Styles Clash on Daniels off the stage ramp onto a table! Very nice. Daniels is unable to stand up in time but AJ is.

WINNER: AJ Styles via...standing.
Decent match, but again, nothing I'm going to remember in a year.

Backstage, Christy Hemme talks to Austin Aries. He's excited for the Ultimate X match but the X-Division is the past and his eyes are on the world title.

X-Division Championship [Ultimate X Match]: Mason Andrews vs. Zema Ion vs. Kenny King vs. Sonjay Dutt
Nice spot where all three others dropkick Zema Ion at the same time. Kenny King climbs but gets dropkicked down by Sonjay Dutt. Looks like Dutt might be out of the match. King spears Andrews off the ropes. Dutt's back, nevermind, and he's climbing the support structure. Mason Andrews and Kenny King meet at the center but they both are unable to unlatch the belt. Zema Ion and Sonjay Dutt are on top of the support structure, above the belt. Sonjay tries to climb down with his feet on the x-rope holding the belt. Zema Ion sprays hairspray on Sonjay Dutt, who falls. Zema Ion then is able to get the belt.

WINNER (and new X-Division champion): Zema Ion via retrieving the belt.
Not bad. I'm saying that a lot, aren't I?

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Bobby Roode (c) vs. Austin Aries
Aries plays up the cockiness. Crowd is firmly behind him. I can't tell exactly what the crowd is chanting inbetween "Austin Aries" but it sounds like "Bobby sucks". I can't understand almost anything they're chanting throughout this match. Roode keeps saying that Aries isn't in his league. Aries hits the discus forearm shot. The match is pretty much putting Aries over but setting him up for a loss in some capacity. Aries puts the Last Chancery on Roode, but Roode is able to turn it around into his crossface. No win there. Roode goes back to the crossface. Roode tries to use the belt as a weapon and then uses that as a distraction to low-blow Aries. Aries kicks out, however. Roode argues with the ref some more, who pushes him back. Aries hits a dropkick and is about to hit the Brainbuster but Aries flips around, pushes Aries into the ref, and grabs the title belt, smashing Aries in the head with it. Roode drags the ref over to count but Aries kicks out. Roode's shocked. Aries goes for an inside cradle but Roode kicks out. Aries hits the Brainbuster. Aries wins the title!!! Holy shit!

WINNER (and new World Heavyweight Champion): Austin Aries via pinfall.
Did not see that one coming! Good match.

HIGH SPOTS
1. Austin Aries vs Bobby Roode
2. New people being on the card
3. Styles Clash

LOW BLOWS
1. The lack of some stars being on the card (I know, sounds like having your cake and eating it too)
2. Sonjay Dutt vs Rashad Cameron I guess
3. Zema Ion's haircut?

CRITIQUE RATING SCALE: 2-COUNT NEAR-FALL (Meh)
Reasoning: As I said a bunch of times, everything was decent and not bad, but none of it was amazing.
