Titus O'Neil Eliminated from NXT

Posted by Anthony Mango - Wednesday, June 30, 2010
The first NXT poll was released and in doing so, the first elimination occurred: TITUS O'NEIL. My take on the situation? Good. Titus has the muscles that the WWE is fond of, but really, nothing else to offer. On the mic he was crap, in the ring he wasn't exactly lighting up the place, and he doesn't exactly have charisma or age on his side (being 33 years old already). The only bad thing out of this situation is that it downplays Zack...

WWE Money in the Bank 2010 Predictions

Posted by Anthony Mango - Saturday, June 26, 2010
Money in the Bank graduates from an awesome section of WrestleMania to another one of the gimmick ppvs. Personally, I'm not a big fan of that, seeing as I think having it at WrestleMania is much better, as well as having only one winner that could go for either title. Still, you never know if they'll be tinkering around with the idea and forging something better.....even though normally, when the WWE changes something that was going right,...

WWE Fatal 4-Way 2010 Results & Review

Posted by Anthony Mango - Sunday, June 20, 2010
The ppv starts with Vince McMahon saying that Bret Hart won't be in attendance tonight, but he'll be meeting with Bret's representatives later and we'll see what happens. Intercontinental Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Drew McIntyre Drew hits the ring, cuts a promo, generic stuff about Teddy. Did I just hear right, that a fan is chanting USA? TNA fans make that mistake at their last ppv and now a WWE fan does the same? This match...

TNA Slammiversary VIII Results & Review

Posted by Anthony Mango - Sunday, June 13, 2010
I don't know the build up of much of this, but I figured I'd pull out some blind predictions. Note: About ten minutes into the ppv, I'll probably change my mind about most of these, but really, who cares? BLIND PREDICTIONS: RVD, Brian Kendrick, Matt Morgan, Madison Rayne, Hardy/Anderson, Kurt Angle, Jay Lethal, Desmond Wolfe, and Brother Ray RESULTS/REVIEW: I like how in the opening teaser promo, Dixie mentions how TNA earns one fan at...

Daniel Bryan Released

Posted by Anthony Mango - Friday, June 11, 2010
WWE has come to terms on the release of NXT first season rookie Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) as of today June 11, 2010. We wish Daniel Bryan the best in all future endeavors. Half of me is really surprised. Half of me isn't the slightest bit. THE SURPRISED HALF: Danielson was trained by HBK, and unless Bryan's a complete douche, you'd think Shawn would stick up for him a bit. Plus, they put a ton of the focus of NXT on Bryan. On top...

NXT Season 2 First Impressions

Posted by Anthony Mango - Wednesday, June 9, 2010
The new season of NXT has arrived and we were able to get a better look at some of the personalities they'll be showcasing. Even though only 4 of them wrestled, I figured I'd share my first impressions evaluating the new group. ALEX RILEYHe didn't wrestle, so I can't judge that. He seems like he has character, though. Also, is it just me, or does he look like he could be the younger brother of the Miz? Riley is definitely someone to look...

Raw Viewers' Choice Review & Results

Posted by Anthony Mango - Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Three hour episodes of Raw are sort of hit or miss. When they've got a good gimmick (the Draft, King of the Ring, Raw Roulette) they tend to be cool. When they're just a series of matches with Smackdown people added, they tend to be not worth the extra hour. Tonight we saw a sort of combination of those. There was a hybrid of "good fucking lord that was stupid" along with "hey, awesome!" The show started off with Bret and Teddy coming...

Wade Barrett Wins WWE NXT

Posted by Anthony Mango - Tuesday, June 1, 2010
The winner of NXT: Wade Barrett. For a while now, I thought David Otunga was the guy that would take it all. When R-Truth won the US championship, I figured it was a lock. Needless to say, I was wrong. In a way, I'm glad I was wrong, too. Otunga is one of my favorites of the group, but he really doesn't have (and excuse me for using the cliched phrase) "the whole package" quite like Barrett does. Wade is probably the best on the mic...
