WWE WrestleMania 2017 Spoilers

WWE Universal Championship Match: Goldberg (c) vs. Brock Lesnar

So despite neither of them being regular roster members, these two will be fighting for the Universal Championship. After all, it makes perfect sense that the guy who wrecked Lesnar multiple times would not only feel like he has something to prove, but he'd also put his title on the line in order to do that, right? If WWE were smart in booking this, it would be Lesnar who was going in as the champion so he has something to offer Goldberg in exchange for the rematch. Actually, if they were smarter than that, it would be Kevin Owens walking into WrestleMania as the champion so he can keep the title in the limelight AFTER WrestleMania and feud with someone like Finn Balor instead of having the belt held up by a guy who doesn't want to make any appearances. .

PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar wins.

WWE Championship Match: Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Randy Orton [vs. Luke Harper]

This should have been an undercard match instead of having the WWE Championship on the line. I really have no interest in Bray Wyatt as the champion, nor do I really care to see another title reign from Orton. I was enjoying them being in the midcard of the roster.

Update: After Talking Smack on February 14th, Daniel Bryan announced that if Orton refuses to challenge Wyatt, they'll be having a battle royal to determine a new #1 contender. I can see this being a way to incorporate Luke Harper into the mix and to make this a triple threat match for WrestleMania.

PREDICTION: Randy Orton wins the title.

PREDICTED MATCHES (as of 2/22/2017)

Triple H vs. Shane McMahon or Seth Rollins

With the Seth Rollins match potentially out the window, I'm really hoping Shane McMahon is the replacement so we can get a better match for AJ Styles. This match just makes sense in a multitude of ways as there's a built-in rivalry between the Raw and SmackDown brands and HHH/Shane have history. If they're not going to go with the Shane McMahon vs. The Miz match to end the Daniel Bryan feud like I've suggested in the past, then this is the next best option for Shane and Triple H.

Then again, nothing has been officially stated that there isn't still going to be a Seth Rollins match...

PREDICTION: I could see Shane winning with a distraction from Daniel Bryan or Mick Foley, but otherwise, this is Triple H's match to lose. If Seth Rollins faces Triple H, then Rollins definitely wins.

WWE United States Championship Match: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Kevin Owens

Unfortunately, I think Owens will be losing the Universal title at Fastlane and these two will be saddled with the lesser championship instead of what should have been booked in my opinion, which is them fighting for the Universal Championship. WWE will put this on the backburner and it will be one of the matches that should have headlined, but instead, it will just be a midcard match that doesn't get as much time as it deserves.

PREDICTION: Kevin Owens wins the title and Jericho takes a leave of absence for a few months to tour with Fozzy. If no title is on the line, I think Jericho wins the match.

John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse

I have no interest in it, even though I like all four people. I just feel they all deserve something else. I really think Shane McMahon should be going up against The Miz instead of AJ Styles, with Styles having the title or facing someone for it, meanwhile Harper/Orton/Wyatt could have a triple threat just based off a grudge.

PREDICTION: Cena and Nikki win.

Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker

Please, PLEASE turn Roman Reigns heel before this match takes place. I'm even okay with him beating The Undertaker if they turn him heel, but they can't have him do it as a babyface. This is your chance, WWE. Don't fuck it up.

PREDICTION: I don't put it past WWE to refuse to budge on the babyface Reigns mentality but to also be confused as to why he doesn't get any reaction against The Undertaker.

AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon

At this point, I have no idea why this is happening. They haven't had any interactions to justify making it a feud.

PREDICTION: Styles deserves better.

4th Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

They've done three before and it seems like there's no stopping this from continuing, so it's more of a question of who will not have more important things to do rather than whether or not this match will take place. After recent events, this could be the match for Braun Strowman or Samoa Joe to be showcased and I'm leaning towards it being Braun Strowman at the moment.

Some people I assume will be included as they'll have nothing better to do: Apollo Crews, Bo Dallas, Breezango, Curt Hawkins, Curtis Axel, Dolph Ziggler, Heath Slater, Jack Swagger, James Ellsworth, Jinder Mahal, Kalisto, Kane, Mark Henry, Mojo Rawley, Rhyno, Rusev, Sin Cara, The Ascension, The Golden Truth, The Shining Stars, The Vaudevillains and Titus O'Neil

Possible options if not used elsewhere: American Alpha, Big Cass, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, Enzo Amore, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, Sheamus, The New Day and The Usos with a slight possibility of Tyler Bate

PREDICTION: Braun Strowman or Samoa Joe wins.

Big Show vs. Shaquille O'Neal

They keep talking about this happening, and I think that it could be kind of interesting.

PREDICTION: Shaq obviously wins.

Samoa Joe vs. Sami Zayn

Maybe? Maybe for the United States Championship if Zayn beats Jericho for the belt sometime before or during Fastlane? They can't just give Joe nothing to do...

PREDICTION: Samoa Joe wins.

Raw Women's Championship Match

Just don't give me Charlotte leaving with the title, please. I don't even want to see her in the match at all, but I know that's way too much to ask for, since WWE is obsessed with making her pretty much the only woman on the Raw roster who they shower with the spotlight. Now that Bayley is the champion, she'd better not drop it to Charlotte at Fastlane. This will probably be a Fatal 4-Way with Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax or possibly a Fatal 5-Way that also includes Dana Brooke.

PREDICTION: Bayley wins.

SmackDown Women's Championship Match

I don't have the slightest clue. I think they might not even book this title to be on the card. With Naomi's injury changing whatever plans they previously had, I now think the most likely option is  a triple threat between Alexa Bliss, Mickie James and Beck Lynch, or possibly another Fatal 4-Way which would also include Natalya.

PREDICTION: Too early to call.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship

More than any other match on this card, I would expect this to be on the pre-show. It could very well be a multi-man match, as they've done a cruiserweight open invitational in the past, or they can just keep it to Neville against Austin Aries, as rumored.

PREDICTION: Too early to call.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Baron Corbin

I don't think we'll have a multi-man ladder match, but I do think there's a possibility this singles fight becomes a ladder match.

PREDICTION: Baron Corbin wins the title either here or at the subsequent SmackDown event.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship

Our top three tag teams on Raw right now (minus The New Day, who are hosting WrestleMania) are Gallows/Anderson, Cesaro/Sheamus, and Enzo/Cass. There could be any combination of those three, or these could be factored into the battle royal. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there actually are no tag title matches at all on this card and everybody on both Raw and SmackDown's tag team divisions are incorporated into the battle royal instead. At the very least, this would be a pre-show match

PREDICTION: Gallows and Anderson win if this even happens.

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Just with the Raw situation, I don't think we're going to see any real effort put into the SmackDown Tag Team Championship for WrestleMania. American Alpha will either retain against The Usos on the pre-show, or they'll be tossed into the battle royal.

PREDICTION: American Alpha wins, possibly, if this even happens.
