MATCH: Sin Cara vs. Damien Sandow
The Commentators talk about how we are seeing the "New Damien Sandow" who is more aggressive and perpetuates a "sudden death mentality" in which he treats every match like it were his last. Sandow begins with an aggressive offense. He delivers a big suplex for a two count early on. He continues his offensive with a side Russian leg sweep followed by the "Elbow of Disdain". He gets another two count after a knee to the face of the matted Sin Cara. Sin Cara reverses the momentum of the match with a tornado DDT. After a headscissor take down, Sin Cara climbs the top rope and delivers a sloppy moonsault. After an uncharacteristic powerbomb, Sin Cara once again goes to the top but is stopped when Sandow shakes the ropes. Sandow tries to get Sin Cara in a cloverleaf submission but Sin Cara fights out. Sin Cara climbs to the top rope again and delivers a Swanton Bomb to Sandow. He covers Sandow and gets the 3 count.
WINNER: Sin Cara
Overall, not a bad edition of Main Event. The opening match had a lot of energy and, as usual with Los Matadores, was a fun match overall with some nice high flying spot. The Divas match wasn't that bad with Eva Marie giving the only weak performance. The rest of the women looked good. Darren Young and Titus O'Neil had another very physical match and I look forward to the conclusion of this series. Sin Cara and Damien Sandow was a bit of a disappointment. It was a good performance by both wrestlers, especially Sandow, but once again Sandow was made to look weak despite his new found aggression. If that angle is going to sell, Sandow needs to start picking up some victories, especially against wrestlers like Sin Cara.
