WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 is the next premium live event scheduled for World Wrestling Entertainment, coming up this Saturday from Petco Park in San Diego, California.
Survivor Series is one of the annual events from WWE with some of the richest traditions and history, as the second major event capitalizing on the success of WrestleMania, eventually to be followed by the other two of the "Big Four" events, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam.
Normally, the event hosts its "traditional" Survivor Series elimination matches, but since 2022, under Paul "Triple H" Levesque's creative direction, Survivor Series has had a different namesake to it: WarGames.
But it isn't just the men's and women's WarGames matches on the card, as two titles are also on the line for this event, with Dominik Mysterio attempting to win back the Men's Intercontinental Championship from John Cena in his penultimate career match, as well as Nikki Bella challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's World Championship.
Smark Out Moment's podcast predictions for Survivor Series has broken down what the Smack Talk panel thinks will happen on the show, but what do the statisticians and oddsmakers have to say about who will win?
Odds for Intercontinental Championship Match
At the moment, Dominik Mysterio is projected with -500 odds against John Cena's +300, indicating there could be chatter the title will change hands.
No reports have stated any spoilers, and there are no stories coming out about anything that would directly point in the direction of Mysterio winning the title back, such as having a program set up with anyone for that belt. His feud with his father, Rey Mysterio, could very easily revolve around the AAA Mega Championship, which is arguably not only the smarter play to put a spotlight on the King of the Luchadores storyline and the AAA promotional marketing in general, but also to free up the Intercontinental Championship for other members of the roster to fight over.
However, this is Cena's next-to-last match. After this, he'll be having his retirement match against the winner of The Last Time is Now tournament at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13, 2025. If Cena doesn't lose the Intercontinental Championship in this match against Mysterio at Survivor Series, he will be walking into his retirement with the gold around his waist. That means if he loses at Saturday Night's Main Event, his opponent will also win that title. If not, then Cena will retire as champion and vacate the title instead.
Perhaps WWE does not want the winner of the tournament to have a run with the Intercontinental Championship, and is planning on simply swapping it back to Mysterio to avoid that problem. Giving a win to Dirty Dom over Cena in whatever unscrupulous means he cheats to win would also be a feather in his cap to say that he has a win over The Greatest of All Time.
Odds for Women's World Championship Match
Oddsmakers on top-rated sports betting sites are even more certain of the outcome for Stephanie Vaquer vs. Nikki Bella than anything else on the card, giving Vaquer -5000 over Bella's +1200.
This is no surprise, as Vaquer has been protected throughout her time in NXT and on the main roster, losing rarely and often due to dubious circumstances such as outside interference, of which no one is on Bella's side to help her with.
This being for a title—the top title for the women's division on Raw, nevertheless—also puts it more heavily in Vaquer's favor as the younger star who the company is building around, rather than the Hall of Famer who is back for what she claims to be likely the last run of her career.
Odds for Women's WarGames Match
The numbers for the women's WarGames match lean heavily in favor of Rhea Ripley's squad, with -1500 odds going in their direction and Becky Lynch's team sitting at +600.
How those numbers have been chosen are not elaborated on, but it could be a number of factors.
One is that Charlotte Flair defeats Asuka on this upcoming Friday Night SmackDown to earn the advantage for her team, meaning their second Superstar will enter first before the other team, having a 2-on-1 advantage that eventually becomes a 3-on-2 and so forth.
It could also be just due to star power. AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair overall have more accumulated popularity and importance than Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and The Kabuki Warriors, mostly due to Legend only recently being called up from NXT and Kairi Sane largely being treated as the weakest link of the group who could take the pin the easiest.
Odds for Men's WarGames Match
The heel men's team for WarGames is sitting at better odds right now with -500 compared to the +300 for CM Punk's group.
This may also be due to the advantage outcome, as Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre defeated The Usos to give Paul Heyman's squad the edge.
Then again, it could also just be because the team has the overall bigger Superstars, with behemoths like Brock Lesnar and Bronson Reed, as well as powerhouses like Bron Breakker and Drew McIntyre. Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos and Roman Reigns are nothing to look down upon, but the size, strength, and speed advantage mostly all goes to the heel team.
Heyman's influence on the outside should not be overlooked, either. If he were to get involved, that could be the difference-maker for a distraction or something that tips the scales in their favor.
On top of that, Reigns has outright admitted to hating Rhodes and Punk, and only teaming with them because he hates Heyman more. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, but that is not a strong foundation to form a partnership and can easily break down.
Odds may change, so continue to check Smark Out Moment for more information on updated predictions and spoilers for Survivor Series.
