WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #242 - The Wild Card Rule Destroys Brand Divides | Smark Out Moment
Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Baron Corbin [NR]

For better or for worse, the fact is that Baron Corbin scored a pinfall victory over Universal Champion Seth Rollins on Raw this week. It might have been a tag team match and thanks to a miscue by AJ Styles, but it could be his key to a future title opportunity.

9. Roman Reigns [-1]

While Roman Reigns did get the victory on his wild card return to Raw, it was the manner of that win that sees him tumble down the Power Rankings. Interference by Shane McMahon and Elias marred his win over Drew McIntyre, and the Big Dog was then put own by a Claymore Kick.

8. Matt Riddle [NR]

A big victory for Matt Riddle in the main event of this week's NXT as he defeated Adam Cole in the main event. As splinters continue to show within The Undisputed Era, can Riddle leave them all in the dust in the pursuit of the NXT Championship?

7. Seth Rollins [-2]

While the WWE Champion was successfully defending his title against all challengers this week, Universal Champion Seth Rollins was left staring at the lights and pinned in tag team action thanks to AJ Styles' mistaken attack and Baron Corbin's End of Days.

6. AJ Styles [-2]

Seth Rollins' challenger didn't fare much better this week. Not only did AJ Styles walk out on Rollins in that Raw tag team match to cost that tandem a victory, but Styles' return to SmackDown Live saw him on the losing end of a triple threat match for the WWE Championship. I guess SmackDown is the A show...

5. Daniel Bryan & Erick Rowan [NR]

While this is a sizeable leap considering Daniel Bryan failed in his attempt to reclaim the WWE Championship on Raw, he did end the week with gold around his waist (or, more fittingly, silver). Bryan and his intellectual equal Erick Rowan were first awarded the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, before earning them outright in a win over The Usos.

4. The Viking Raiders [+3]

Although the Raw Tag Team Championships seem to lose value and meaning every single month, The Viking Raiders' pursuit of them continues to bring success, as they defeated Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins in a non-title match on Raw.

3. Finn Balor [-1]

Thanks to the European Tour, Finn Balor was not present at SmackDown Live this week, with a video package highlighting the Intercontinental Champion filling the void left by his absence.

2. Becky Lynch [-1]

Finally knocked from pole position in the Power Rankings, Becky Lynch had a quiet week as she witnessed Lacey Evans demolish a jobber and then got a few good shots in during a post-match brawl with the Sassy Southern Belle.

1. The New Day [+2]

There was no other choice for the top spot this week as Kofi Kingston continues to define being a fighting champion. The WWE Champion successfully defended his belt on Raw against the returning Daniel Bryan in the main event, before hopping into SmackDown's main event match to overcome both AJ Styles and Sami Zayn with the title on the line.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Lacey Evans - The one true lady in WWE demonstrated the power of her Women's Right on Raw in an easy squash victory over enhancement talent Allie Catrina.

Ricochet - Ricochet made up for his defeat two weeks ago against Robert Roode by defeating the Glorious One on Raw to cement his spot at Money in the Bank.

Akira Tozawa - In a weapons-laden main event to this week's 205 Live, Akira Tozawa defeated Mike Kanellis with no managers around to distract them.

Bianca Belair - Bianca Belair started her journey to getting back in the NXT Women's Championship picture with a contentious win over Mia Yim this week.

The Grizzled Young Veterans - The NXT UK Tag Team Champions retained their titles on Wednesday night, as Zack Gibson & James Drake overcame two of Scotland's finest in Kenny Williams & Noam Dar.
