WWE Power Rankings Top 25 Superstars This Week: #186

Posted by Wes Keefer Sunday, March 25, 2018
Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

25. JOHNNY GARGANO [NR]

Johnny Wrestling himself returned to NXT this week to once more get his hands on the man that cost him his job: his former ally and partner Tommaso Ciampa. However, Gargano was apprehended and escorted out of the arena by security before too much damage could be dealt.

24. THE BAR [NR]

They asked who was left and they got the biggest response: Braun Strowman. Braun is already proving to be someone who could easily take the tag team titles at WrestleMania and he doesn't even have a partner yet.

23. FINN BALOR [-11]

In a three-on-three match with the Miztourage and Balor Club, Finn Balor's team was victorious Balor is slowly gaining the upper hand heading into WrestleMania. He hasn't done too much on the mic though.

22. BLUDGEON BROTHERS [-8]

Harper went one-on-one with Jimmy Uso and was able what is to come at WrestleMania. Their singles match was a little rushed, but will hopefully lead to a classic showdown on the big stage.

21. RODERICK STRONG + PETE DUNNE [NR FIRST TIME RANKED]

In a last minute pairing, Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne clicked together and won in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Classic. This will be a pairing to keep an eye on in the tournament.

20. THE REVIVAL [NR]

The Revival got a much-needed win over Titus Worldwide, who seem to have cooled off from their recent push. They announced their entry into the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, which is nothing special anymore.

19. ASUKA [-15]

Asuka had one of her worst showings since she came to Raw. She was overpowered most of the match, which is not a good sign of booking her strongly ahead of her WrestleMania match against Flair.

18. BAYLEY [+5]

WWE seems to be taking the slow route to turning Bayley fully heel, and it seems like the right choice. We are seeing every aspect of why she is going down this path and will likely go off with a bang with a match with Banks at WrestleMania.

17. CHARLOTTE FLAIR [-12]

Flair seems to have too much on her plate at once. She has to watch out for Asuka, her contender for the title at WrestleMania. Now she has Carmella lurking with the Money in the Bank case, ready to pounce at any moment. Natalya scored an upset victory from Carmella's distraction, which could be the outcome when she faces Asuka.

16. ABSOLUTION [NR]

Sonya and Mandy were once again able to take advantage of Bayley and Banks's dysfunctional friendship to pick up a win. Deville is the better of the two rookies and is constantly progressing after each match.

15. TOMMASO CIAMPA [NR FIRST TIME RANKED]

Ciampa was on NXT to gloat over him being the one to get rid of Gargano, but he was ambushed when Gargano made a surprise to return to get revenge on his former partner. Looks like Ciampa can't move on just yet.

14. JOHN CENA [-3]

Cena once more called out The Undertaker and carried the "feud" on his shoulders with his promos. We are inching towards WrestleMania and WWE decides to toss Kane into the mix and have him take down Cena. The addition of Kane is sentimental, but hurts the overall feud.

13. AJ STYLES [-11]

With Nakamura the clear babyface in their feud, Styles is slowly turning to the dark side. Nakamura was attacked again by Rusev and English on SmackDown. Usually the one to jump right in and fend off the heels, Styles lounged around and took his time to do anything to help his number one contender.

12. NIA JAX [NR]

Jax has been on the receiving end of Bliss's snarky remarks and hurtful insults for several weeks now and seemed on the verge of a meltdown. Jax was granted a chance to bring it to Bliss when she was announced as the new contender for Alexa's title at WrestleMania.

11. CARMELLA [+8]

Once again, Carmella teased a cash-in on Flair that distracted her in the middle of a match. She is becoming a constant threat and distraction for Flair in her feud with Asuka. Whoever wins at WrestleMania will likely have to compete twice in one night.

10. BRAUN STROWMAN [-9]

Braun Strowman has found himself on a new path to WrestleMania: a solo journey for the Raw Tag Team Championships. He will need to find a partner before then, but seems to be doing alright by himself as he took down Cesaro.

9. ROMAN REIGNS [-6]

After weeks of not getting what he wanted, Reigns was finally given Lesnar. However, he was not ready. Lesnar came out of the gate like a bull and Reigns was taken away for medical treatment after the mauling.

8. MUSTAFA ALI [NR]

Ali was able to outlast Drew Gulak and give us a Cruiserweight Championship match that the 205 division has longed needed. Ali vs Alexander should be a dark horse match that could be a top five match at this year's WrestleMania.

7. WOKEN MATT HARDY [NR]

The day finally came on Raw: The Ultimate Deletion. The weird and unorthodox match was stellar, just a step below from the version that stole the show on TNA. Hardy was victorious and it will be interesting on what happens to Bray Wyatt now.

6. SAMI ZAYN [+6]

Zayn's possible worst nightmare might have just became real: Daniel Bryan is clear to compete in the ring. He was ultimately fired by Bryan after he assaulted Shane McMahon and even laid out Bryan. Sadly, Bryan can now retaliate.

5. ALEXA BLISS [+10]

Alexa Bliss continued to be a ruthless champion. She once more attacked Jax verbally and even had Asuka almost pinned in a match on Raw. Nia Jax was named the new contender for Bliss and with their current feud becoming personal, Jax seems like a favorite to beat Bliss.

4. KEVIN OWENS [+17]

He took down Shane McMahon and now he has sent Daniel Bryan to the hospital, all while being fired several times over. With no current commissioner on SmackDown, Owens and his partner Zayn have the run of the show, for now. With Bryan clear to compete now, there will be some retaliation from the commissioner and GM.

3. BROCK LESNAR [NR]

Brock Lesnar has finally returned to Raw and wasted no time reclaiming his role as top dog. He assaulted Roman Reigns and ended up having to be forced off of Reigns by security and medical personnel.

2. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA [+7]

Shinsuke beat Rusev again and suffered another assault from Rusev and English. However this time, Styles did not jump in to save a fellow good guy. Shinsuke was instead left to the vultures, but was still able to fend them both off himself.

1. DANIEL BRYAN [NR]

It is a miracle WWE fans...Daniel Bryan is cleared to compete in the WWE once more. The entire WWE Universe applauded him on SmackDown and Bryan could have a match as soon as WrestleMania, a fitting stage for him.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Kane - Kane returned to Raw and seemed to be tossed into the Cena-Taker feud. It does little for the feud though.
Baron Corbin - He seems to be in a rebuild process, but beating Tye Dillinger isn't a good first step.
Ember Moon- She beat Aliyah on NXT, even with Baszler still lurking around every corner.
Natalya - Thanks to Carmella, Natalya was able to roll-up Charlotte for an upset.
Sasha Banks - She is still trying to patch things up with Bayley, but it is costing her several matches in the process.

BIGGEST MOVES THIS WEEK

Kevin Owens +17
Asuka -15
