Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live present WWE Royal Rumble 2019 Spoilers

30-Man Royal Rumble 2019 Match

Roman Reigns vacating the Universal Championship changed all of my perceptions. Then, Daniel Bryan turning heel and winning the WWE Championship changed even more. I had thought maybe Daniel Bryan would win to challenge The Miz, or we'd get an Ambrose/Rollins double win to set up a Shield Triple Threat at Mania.

With Brock Lesnar holding the championship, Roman Reigns being out, Triple H being injured which costs them the HHH/Batista match, Bryan turning heel, and so on, these are the only things I can see happening:

a) Seth Rollins wins the Royal Rumble and in their attempt to capitalize off the Roman Reigns sympathy and Seth's popularity, they go with him against Lesnar, who probably beats him anyway because it's Lesnar.

b) Shawn Michaels wins the Royal Rumble and challenges Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship

c) Batista wins the Royal Rumble to set up a "superfight" with Lesnar at WrestleMania and Lesnar retains

Confirmed participants = R-Truth (#30)

PREDICTION: Seth Rollins or Shawn Michaels wins. I'm leaning toward HBK as it's a lot easier to win a Royal Rumble than an Elimination Chamber match.

30-Woman Royal Rumble 2019 Match

My immediate gut reaction the moment after the 2018 Royal Rumble was to guess Ronda Rousey or Charlotte Flair. All these months have gone by and I still think Flair is the top choice in WWE's mind, with Becky Lynch being the second, but it all depends on who is the champion after TLC.

Confirmed participants = Carmella (#30)

PREDICTION: Charlotte Flair AND Becky Lynch win the Royal Rumble to challenge Ronda Rousey in a Triple Threat match.

Universal Championship Match: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Braun Strowman

Lesnar is Lesnar. He'll beat Braun Strowman in 5 minutes with a few German suplexes and an F-5. The end. Same old shit. Maybe this time, someone ELSE screws Strowman (cough*Lars Sullivan*cough) as their attempt to move him onto another feud just like the Corbin thing, or maybe they just have Corbin mess things up again and repeat themselves for the umpteenth time. At this point, I have zero faith WWE will ever give Strowman a win over Lesnar and I hate seeing them use Braun as a punching bag for Brock over and over, so I'd rather Strowman's injury just prevent him from having the match at all if he's just going to lose again. Come back at Elimination Chamber or something instead. But that's not going to happen. Brock will beat Braun and that'll be the end of it.

PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar retains the title and WWE tries to tell you that it was worth waiting for his appearance and how great it'll be when he pops up again in March to set up his quick WrestleMania match.

PREDICTED MATCHES (as of 12/16/2018)

WWE Championship Match

There really aren't any babyfaces to go around. They can't just keep having Bryan fight Styles, can they? Oh wait, that's what they did for 2018, so yeah, that's probably just going to be their 6th match or whatever. And Jimmy Jacobs says writing this is hard. Pft. It isn't difficult to copy and paste, guys. At least do Bryan against Jeff Hardy or something.

PREDICTION: Daniel Bryan retains the title.

United States Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

It happens here, on SmackDown, at Elimination Chamber, Fastlane or WrestleMania. Somewhere along the line, we'll reach a point where Mysterio will have this belt come WrestleMania.

PREDICTION: Rey Mysterio wins the title if this match happens here.

Raw Tag Team Championship Match

I think The Authors of Pain are getting those titles back on Raw, not at Royal Rumble, but maybe that's when it happens instead.

PREDICTION: The Authors of Pain leave with the titles, one way or another.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match

The Bar against The Usos is my current theory, if this is on the card.

PREDICTION: The Usos win the titles.

Cruiserweight Championship Match

I could see Buddy Murphy defending against Akira Tozawa or The Brian Kendrick, possibly. I don't think it'll be Mustafa Ali unless they put the title on him and have him fight someone other than Murphy at WrestleMania.

PREDICTION: Buddy Murphy retains.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Seth Rollins

This may not be on the card.

PREDICTION: Dean Ambrose retains.
