This 2018 WWE releases list is a year-by-year archive of WWE Superstars, wrestlers and on-screen talent who left the company during 2018. This resource tracks confirmed releases, roster departures, developmental exits, contract expirations and clearly labeled storyline firings from that calendar year.

Legend: ๐Ÿ” = partial roster exit or role change, not a full company departure.

WWE SUPERSTARS RELEASED IN 2018:

  • January 23 - Enzo Amore was released by WWE.
  • February 15 - Rich Swann was released by WWE.
  • March 8 - Abbey Laith, Sage Beckett and Ming were released by WWE.
  • March 16 - Christy St. Cloud was released by WWE.
  • April 9 - Paige retired from in-ring competition and became SmackDown general manager.
  • May - Kishan Raftar appears to be released by WWE.
  • June 2 / June 3 / ??? - Zeda, Uriel Ealy, Demitrius Bronson and Nicolai Salchow were released by WWE.
  • June 19 - Big Cass was released by WWE.
  • August 24 - Neville / PAC left WWE after his contract situation was resolved.
  • September 18 - Amanpreet Singh was released by WWE.
  • September 18 - Tian Bing, Gabriel Ealy and Cheng Yuxiang were quietly released by WWE.
  • December 14 - Nick Miller left WWE and returned to Australia.

WWE KAYFABE FIRINGS / STORYLINE EXITS IN 2018:

  • July 24 - James Ellsworth was fired by Paige on SmackDown in storyline and was not used regularly afterward.
  • December 3 - Rhyno lost to Heath Slater on Raw in a storyline match where the loser would be fired from the red brand.
  • December 16 - Baron Corbin lost his acting Raw general manager position in storyline at TLC.
