Last week was the first Raw under the direction of Shane McMahon! Not because he beat The Undertaker inside hell in a cell at WrestleMania 32, but because as he was saying goodbye to the WWE Universe his father reluctantly handed over control and then left the arena. The rest of the night was followed by a number of huge Raw debuts. We saw Baron Corbin who won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, we saw Apollo Crews, and then the enigma of charisma that is Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy! These NXT standouts made big impacts on the show with Corbin and Crews picking up wins and Enzo & Cass cutting a badass promo on The Dudley Boyz. In the main event we had a fatal four way to determine who is the new number one contender to Roman Reigns WWE World Heavyweight Championship! The match featured Kevin Owens, a returning Cesaro, Chris Jericho, and AJ Styles! In what was one of the best Raw matches we have seen in a long time we saw AJ Styles cement himself as number on contender! Expect to see AJ and Roman get to know each other real well these next few weeks.
PROMO: The first promo of the night belongs to.. Shane-O-Mac who is AGAIN in charge of the show tonight. Shane thanks the crowd for all their support with him running the show last week, and him again getting the ball this week. He announces Charlotte will face Natty for the Womens Championship, there will be a tag tourney to see who faces The New Day for the Tag Team Championships, and then congratulates AJ Styles for his number one contenders win. He says that Sami Zayn will get another opportunity since he was attacked last week by Kevin Owens knocking him out of the number one contenders match. He will face AJ Styles and if he wins it will be a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Payback! Then out comes KO. He obviously disagrees with Sami's role in this championship hunt. He, of course, thinks he is being screwed yet again. Shane says he screwed Sami, and then lost in the fatal four way match. He then demands his rematch for the IC Title tonight. Shane says he cannot demand anything, but he can earn it if he beats one guy. He will face Cesaro and the winner will face The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship! That match is... NOW!

MATCH: Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens
The winner of this match will go on to face The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, presumably at Payback.
RESULTS: Cesaro wins via pin fall, and is the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
THOUGHTS: Whenever these two are in the ring, its gold. This was no different. Hell of a match.
PROMO: Ric and Charlotte are backstage talking about her title defense tonight. They both think its crap and they are ashamed of Shane and Natty both. Then Dr. Phil.. Yes.. Dr. Phil comes in. Dr. Phil then says that Ric is bad for Charlotte and causing her to cheat in all her matches and is dragging her title defense down. Both Charlotte and Ric look disgusted and walk away.
PROMO: KO is backstage with Shane talking about how he got screwed. KO then says "What happens to Sami Zayn tonight is on your hands." Shane then kicks KO out of the building for the night.

MATCH: The Lucha Dragons vs. The Dudley Boyz
This is the first match of the first round in the Tag Team Number One Contenders Tournament.
RESULTS: The Dudley Boyz win via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: So much for Kalisto being a big part of anything ever since winning the US Title.
PROMO: Enzo & Cass come out to cut yet another promo on The Dudley Boyz on Raw. I'm assuming this will all boil down to a match between the two teams in the tournament.

PROMO: Roman Reigns comes out to say something to the WWE Universe. He talks about the match between AJ and Sami to see if their match becomes a triple threat at Payback, and then The League of Nations come out to interrupt. LON talks about how they eliminated their weakest link by kicking out King Barrett last week, so now they are stronger than ever. Rusev rambles about something. Then The Wyatts show up to help take care of LON. Shane then announces that two member of LON will take on Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns in a tag team main event.

WWE WOMENS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Charlotte (c) (w Ric) vs. Natty
Dr. Phil is at ringside or doing something with the commentary thing. I don't know. I am still confused as to why he is there.
Charlotte was tapping to the Sharpshooter, but Ric pulled the ref out of the ring causing a DQ. Charlotte retains, but loses.
RESULT: Natty wins via DQ.
THOUGHTS: It was a great match just like every time these ladies are in the ring, and I love having another cheating champion. I love a good heel champ.
PROMO: Renee is backstage with Sami and they talk about KO being escorted out of the building and Sami's match with AJ Styles tonight. He says he has always dreamed about a match like this, and this opportunity. Then AJ shows up and talks about how its been a crazy road to see both of them in the WWE, but he is the only #1 Contender and will keep it that way.

MATCH: The Usos vs. Social Outcasts
This is another first round match in the tag team tournament.
After the match The Usos are attacked by two guys in street clothes. The two men are Anderson and Gallows! Two former members of The Bullet Club!
RESULT: The Usos win via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: The match was secondary to the debut of Anderson and Gallows better known as former members of The Bullet Club!

PROMO: Maryse and The Miz are backstage, and Maryse is yelling at some backstage employee on how nothing is up to their standards. Then JoJo comes in and asks about Cesaro and Zack Ryder being contenders to his title. Then Cesaro stops by to look at his competition.
MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn
This match is to decide whether there are two #1 contenders for Roman Reigns WWE World Heavyweight Championship. If Sami wins, then it will be a triple threat.
RESULTS: AJ Styles wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: AMAZING match just like everyone knew it would be. Would've liked to see Sami win, but it is pretty clear he is on a war path with KO for Payback. Nonetheless, great match.

PROMO: Shane, Sami, and AJ are backstage where Shane thanks the two for their awesome match and how much he and the WWE Universe appreciated it.
HIGHLIGHT REEL WITH CHRIS JERICHO: Apparently Y2J has a very special guest for us tonight. And that guest is.. Himself. Tonight he gives us the gift of Jericho, and thanks himself for all of his accomplishments. While he was thanking himself and building up all of his accomplishments out comes Dean Ambrose. With his own potted plant, and some sort of sign. He says this is now his show. Shane McMahon said, in a nice corporate memo, that Highlight Reel is canceled and replaced with Ambrose Asylum hosted by Dean. Dean's first question was about Y2J's scarf, which is pretty expensive apparently. Then a fight ensues, which consisted of one Dirty Deeds to Chris Jericho and Dean leaves after hosting his first show.

MATCH: Apollo Crews vs. Adam Rose
RESULT: Apollo Crews wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: No surprise here. Would've been a big blow to any momentum Crews had if he lost to a guy with the nickname "Radical Mongoose".

MATCH: Roman Reigns & Bray Wyatt vs. The League of Nations
The League of Nations will be represented by Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio.
RESULTS: Roman and Bray win via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: This match was nothing to write home about.
