Smark Out Moment

WWE's NXT TakeOver Brooklyn pay-per-view will take place on August 22, 2015 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. WWE NXT TakeOver Brooklyn Spoilers

[NXT Championship Ladder Match]: Finn Balor (c) vs. Kevin Owens

Rumor has it the reason this match is taking place here is because WWE feels Kevin Owens will be a bigger draw in the area than Samoa Joe. That and the fact that Finn Balor won the title in a rather grandiose fashion and is a fresh champion all are signs that point to the title staying where it is now, rather than Owens regaining it. I expect nothing less than for this to be a great match with Balor retaining, particularly as the ladder match scenario makes it easier for Owens to lose without looking weak.

PREDICTION: Finn Balor retains the title.


[NXT Women's Championship]: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bayley

Bayley is the new #1 contender and since Sasha Banks is now on the main roster, I'm fully expecting a title change here. That is a kind of short reign for Sasha, but it's okay, as she's moving on to a bigger position and isn't leaving NXT in a bad place, either, as Bayley is more than capable to take charge. This should be one of the best matches of the night, and I'm excited to check it out.

PREDICTION: Bayley wins the championship.


Tyler Breeze vs. Jushin "Thunder" Liger

Well, this is out of the blue, isn't it? I would expect Breeze to go over, since the older wrestlers have been utilized as enhancement talent in NXT, but you never quite know.

PREDICTION: Tyler Breeze wins.


[NXT Tag Team Championship]: Blake & Murphy (c) vs. The Vaudevillains

I'm very surprised Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady aren't getting the title shot here, considering the location and how they're definitely more over than either of these two teams. I do like The Vaudevillains, though, so if they win the titles, I won't be disappointed. I expect to see BAMF come out on top in the end with some help from Alexa Bliss, but I'm not sure what WWE's game is here, so who knows, maybe Team SAWFT gets a title shot immediately afterward or something?

PREDICTION: Blake and Murphy retain.


Baron Corbin vs. Samoa Joe

Baron Corbin could be gearing up to be the first feud for Finn Balor after Kevin Owens, and a win over Samoa Joe would cement his positioning for a title shot. However, if Corbin isn't being built up for that, he may just be set up to be a "big name" for Joe to feud with, and Joe puts him down. This one could be interesting...

PREDICTION: Baron Corbin wins, but possibly through dubious means like a low blow when the referee isn't looking or something.

Apollo Crews vs. Tye Dillinger

I'm liking Dillinger's new gimmick, but he stands no chance to win this match. Crews seems like a priority and this is his debut, so he obviously is the focal point and I can't possibly see Dillinger squeaking out a victory.

PREDICTION: Apollo Crews wins.


With the announcement of a bunch of other matches that I don't have listed here, as I assume the great majority of them won't be on this card itself, but will be recorded for later use, I'm not expecting anything else to be added to the actual event.
