Our final Monday Night Raw before the Royal Rumble. We saw Brock Lesnar last week and we will see Goldberg this week as he has been announced for the show, and he and Brock are seemingly synonymous with one another nowadays. I have a sad feeling this will be the last Raw with KO holding the red strap.. So in words of his best friend.. Drink it maaaaaaaaaan.

PROMO (In-Ring): Roman Reigns is starting off Raw this week. With the shark tank in the ring, he reminds us that the Rumble is in 6 days, and Jericho will have to watch him beat his best friends KO for the Universal Title. That brings out the two best friends, and KO says that Roman must be delusional from the powerbomb through the announce table last week. Reigns threatens to beat him down in front of the fans and his best friend, and Jericho calls him a stupid idiot. The crowd loves it. Jericho says that what was funny is when he beat him for the United States Championship, and Reigns says that he wants his rematch tonight. And KO accepts the match for Chris Jericho. So I guess we have a United States Championship match tonight.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Cesaro (w Sheamus) vs. Luke Gallows (w Karl Anderson)

RESULTS: Luke Gallows wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Cesaro and Sheamus retain at the Rumble then.

PROMO (Backstage): Mick is backstage on the phone with Stephanie talking about the United States Championship match. Sami Zayn comes in and puts Stephanie on hold, and asks if he can enter the Royal Rumble match. Stephanie comes back in and says he will have to earn it, and he will need to beat Seth Rollins.

PROMO (Backstage): Corey Graves interviews Bayley about her lifelong WWE fandom, Charlotte, and her Raw Women's Championship match at the Royal Rumble.

PROMO (Backstage): Mick is backstage with Seth Rollins, and tells him that Stephanie wants him to inform him that he has a match against Sami. And then Mick says that if Sami wins, he gets Seth's spot in the Royal Rumble.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Seth Rollins vs. Sami Zayn

If Sami wins he gets Seth's spot in the Royal Rumble.

During the match, HHH's music hits! This causes a distraction and Sami Zayn gets the roll up win.

RESULTS: Sami wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Wow.. This was a hell of a match.

After the match, Seth takes off to the back to search for HHH.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO (Backstage): Seth is backstage looking for HHH. Mick comes in saying he had no idea this was going to happen, and it might be Stephanie. He promises Steph that he will get answers.

MATCH: Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak, & Tony Nese vs. Jack Gallagher, Mustafa Ali, & TJ Perkins

RESULTS: Mustafa Ali pins Drew Gulak for the win.
THOUGHTS: Your typical short cruiserweight match.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO (In-Ring): The New Day is ready to spread some positivity! They say that they will win the Royal Rumble, but before they could go much further they are greeted by Enzo & Cass. Big Cass officially enters the Royal Rumble, and is then interrupted by Rusev who is flanked by Lana & Jinder Mahal. Rusev then officially enters the Rumble as well. After that, Titus O'Neil comes out. New Day expresses how tired they are of Titus and his weekly interruptions. He announces that there will be an 8-man tag team match right now.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: The New Day & Enzo and Cass vs. Titus O'Neil, Braun Strowman, Rusev (w Lana), & Jinder Mahal

RESULTS: Braun Strowman pins Enzo for the win.
THOUGHTS: Braun is a legit threat to win the Rumble.

After the match, Big Show comes down to confront Strowman. The two stare each other down, and Strowman leaves.

*Commercial Break*

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Chris Jericho (c) (w Kevin Owens) vs. Roman Reigns

During the match, KO gets involved causing a DQ.

RESULTS: Reigns wins via DQ.
THOUGHTS: Ugh why?

After the match, KO calls for the shark cage to drop, and they prep Roman to throw him in the cage. The get Roman into the cage, but he fights out. Reigns then locks Owens in, and they lift him up. Jericho hangs on to the cage but then eats a superman punch.

*Commercial Break*

KO finally gets let out of the cage by Jericho. Charly comes in and says that not only will Jericho be in the shark cage, but Mick Foley has changed it to a no DQ match.

PROMO (Backstage): Corey sits down with Charlotte this time. They talk about her defending her championship at the Royal Rumble, growing up "privileged", and her opponent Bayley.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Nia Jax vs. Ms. Lynn

RESULTS: Nia Jax wins in 5 seconds.
THOUGHTS: What was the point of this?

PROMO (In-Ring): Nia dedicates her victory to the "recently deceased career of Sasha Banks". She calls for a 30 for 30 on Sasha Banks demise, and then out comes The Boss with a crutch. Sasha uses her crutch as a weapon, and hits the double knees off the apron.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Rich Swann vs. Noam Dar (w Alicia Fox)

RESULTS: Rich Swann wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I thought this would be a much longer match, but Dar was put out pretty quickly.

After the match, Swann calls out Neville. Calling him a jester instead of a king. Neville makes his way to the ring, and turns to walk away. But is hit with a suicide dive from Swann.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO (In-Ring): It is time we hear from Goldberg! After screwing his promo twice, he finally spits out the fact that to get to the Universal Championship he has to win the Royal Rumble. He says that he will stop at nothing to beat the other 29 competitors and go on to headline WrestleMania. Before he can finish, he is interrupted by Paul Heyman. Heyman goes on to say that the possibilities are endless in the Royal Rumble. Goldberg could go toe to toe with Randy Orton, The Undertaker, or even.. Brock Lesnar. Lesnar comes out to the side of his Hall Of Fame manager, and he says that Goldberg will be conquered at the Royal Rumble and eliminated by The Beast Incarnate. Goldberg, tired of the talk, invites Goldberg to the ring. The two stand toe to toe for the first time since Survivor Series, and then The Undertaker shows up in the ring right next to them. The three have a stare down as the show goes off air.
