My reaction: At the beginning of the year when I gave my predictions for the Future Endeavors Forecast and such, I had figured one of the guarantees was Layla retiring. She's the oldest woman on the roster and she had been injured before and not really doing all that much, so the likelihood of her coming back to in-ring competition and for it to be worth it to her to keep busting herself like that just seemed very little. On the other hand, I do think Layla is still going to be involved in WWE in some capacity, whether it be appearing on episodes of WWE Countdown and The WWE List or what I'm really hoping happens: her being the host of the Divas Search. Layla's a former champion and was in the company for years and years, so this retirement is not a surprise, nor is it unwarranted. She's getting married (to Ricky Ortiz....yeah....lucky bastard haha) and it's time for her to be able to focus on having a family and such.
