Last night on Raw, we learned that we would be getting a United States Championship match tonight on Main Event. Alberto Del Rio will challenge Sheamus for the US Title. Will Del Rio capture the title in this rematch from SmackDown? Find out tonight on WWE's Main Event!

Thanks for joining me tonight, everyone! Tonight's Main Event kicks off with the US Title Match which is a Last Man Standing Match. Sheamus makes his way to the ring and claims he will rearrange Del Rio's face and make his way to the Battleground Battle Royal for the Intercontinental Title to become the first superstar since Edge to hold both the IC and US Championships. Del Rio interrupts on the tron and the two continue to trash talk each other. Del Rio makes his way to the ring.

United States Championship Match (Last Man Standing): Sheamus (C) vs. Alberto Del Rio

The two immediately start brawling outside of the ring as Sheamus bounces off the steel ring post. Sheamus answers by bashing Del Rio's head into the announce table. Sheamus throws the table cover in Del Rio's face and hits a rolling senton, however, Del Rio recovers and begins to strike the champ with a kendo stick.

Del Rio launches off the top rope and strikes Sheamus once again with the kendo stick. Sheamus is going to be so red after this match, there's no doubt about that. The champ recovers and hits Del Rio with the Irish Curse Back Breaker. Del Rio answers the count at 7 and is begging Sheamus not to pummel him with the kendo stick. Sheamus, not holding back whatsoever, beats Del Rio to the ground with the kendo stick. The "We want tables" chants ring through the arena. Del Rio is against the rope taking Sheamus' vintage chest hammers. Del Rio's face smacks the announce table but answers the count at 9.

*Commercial Break*

Sheamus grabs a chair and stalks Del Rio, but takes a kendo stick to the gut. Del Rio wedges the chair in the corner and continues to control Sheamus. Del Rio grabs another chair and attempts to hit Sheamus, but it is blocked and Sheamus is back in control. Sheamus miss the Brogue Kick and Del Rio answers with the Backstabber. Sheamus answers at 7 and hits White Noise. Both men are down. They answer the count at 8 and Sheamus grabs a table! Yes! Finally! The crowd begins to chant "TLC." Del Rio absolutely nails Sheamus in the side of the head, knocks him down, but Sheamus answers at 7. Sheamus runs shoulder first into the chair in the corner and Del Rio locks in the Cross Arm Breaker. Sheamus powers out and slams Del Rio through the table! Del Rio is down and answers at 9! What a match! Sheamus hits the Brogue Kick for the win!

Winner: Sheamus via knockout

We get a recap of Bray Wyatt's attack on Chris Jericho. A match has been announced for Battleground, and Jericho will take on Bray Wyatt one on one. That is sure to be an incredible match.

Renee Young interviews Jericho backstage. Jericho says at Battleground, he will remind Bray Wyatt of what Y2J is capable of.

*Commercial Break*

Raw Rebound time. Seth Rollins had a good match against Cena last night, but it was a predictable finish as the guys in the Fatal Four Way at Battleground interfered in the match, and Dean Ambrose stopped Rollins' cash-in attempt. I can't wait for Ambrose vs. Rollins. I'm saying right now, that will be one of the best matches of the year.

Nikki Bella competes in a 6 on 1 Handicap Match next.

*Commercial Break*

6 on 1 Handicap Match: Nikki Bella vs. Naomi, Natalya, Eva Marie, Summer Rae, Rosa Mendes

Rosa starts the match but I swear they said this was a 6 on 1 match. It's obviously a 5 on 1, but whatever. Nikki is being dominated as expected. Eva Marie hits a DDT for the win. Boring, pointless match. I guess Cameron was supposed to be the 6th Diva in the match but didn't show up until after the match and kicked Nikki in the face. Dumb.

Winners: Naomi, Natalya, Eva Marie, Summer Rae, and Rosa Mendes via pinfall

Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel with Special Guest Bret Hart

Jericho is in the ring and the "Y2J" chants begin immediately. Jericho introduces The Excellence of Execution Bret "The Hitman" Hart to a nice standing ovation. Bret Hart reminisces on the first time Jericho came to the famous Hart Family Dungeon. Shawn Michaels' music hits, but unfortunately we get Damien Sandow dressed as HBK instead. Jericho begins to make fun of Sandow and Sandow continues to imitate HBK and fire back at Jericho only to meet a right hand from Bret Hart followed by a Sharpshooter.

REVIEW

The only good thing that came out of tonight's Main Event, was the United States Title Match. To see a Last Man Standing Match on regular programming is kind of rare, but I guarantee it was to get more publicity for the WWE Network. That's another thing that was big about tonight. They pushed the WWE Network like crazy and it got a little old; I understand why they're doing it though. After the US Title Match, it was all downhill. The Diva's match was ridiculously stupid and boring, and Jericho's Highlight Reel was only halfway decent. I mean, it was cool to see two huge Canadian Superstars in Canada, and see Bret Hart lock in the Sharpshooter, but the whole thing with Damien Sandow was just plain dumb and unnecessary. Honestly, why is Sandow still with the company? It looks like they're just going to continue to bury him and make him look like an idiot before they finally let him go. Overall, this week's Main Event was highly disappointing except for the Last Man Standing US Title Match.
