Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle

Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle

[THOUGHTS: I'm going with HBK. He not only has the edge in terms of quantity but I think it's pretty safe to say that there's a reason why he was the first Grand Slam Champion—because he could adapt to any of those environments and fit them so well. True, his tag title reigns weren't the best in history, but if you compare his run with Diesel and the joy of him winning it for the first time with Triple H versus Benoit and Angle, did that really mean so much more to justify picking Angle over HBK?]

Triple H vs Chris Jericho

Triple H vs Chris Jericho

[THOUGHTS: As great as Jericho is, and he's one of the best ever in my opinion, just look at what the numbers show. Triple H completely dominates him in terms of importance to the world title scene and it isn't even close. Jericho's a permanent main eventer but he also dips down to the upper midcard quite a bit. While that makes him infinitely more valuable to the Intercontinental scene than Triple H was, and while Jericho has the edge for tag teams, Triple H would get my vote for the European/Hardcore stage (even though Jericho has both and HHH only has the European). I'm going with Triple H here.]
