It’s Sunday night and LFG kicks off with a surprise appearance from Shawn Michaels. He admits last week’s draft results caught him off guard, and Bubba Ray Dudley tells us we won’t be seeing Elijah Holyfield in a shirt for the rest of the season (I'm holding him to it). Tonight’s theme? Evolving character. Shawn tells the Future Greats that he wants to see something new from them, something that shows growth. We then check in with the teams, getting a closer look at how each Legend helps shape their Future Great’s persona. (Not sure if Sirena will hit her trademark top-rope split during her entrance this week.) It’s a well-structured opening segment that balances real-world coaching insight with hype for the night’s upcoming matches.

Match 1: Zena Sterling vs. Sirena Linton

Yes—we did get the signature split entrance from Sirena, and Zena debuts a slick new theme that has Bubba hyped from the jump. Sirena starts the match by talking trash and disrespecting Zena with a palm to the face. Zena fires back with crisp wrestling technique early on, but Sirena quickly takes control by pulling the hair—getting a strong reaction from the crowd. She tries to slow the match down, grinding the pace, while Zena continues to rely on clean, technical wrestling to stay in it. Sirena shines here—arguably her best character work yet—drawing heat and staying in control with some nasty offense, including choking Zena with her own hair. Zena rallies with a roll-up near fall, then explodes with energy: smashing Sirena in the corner, playing to the crowd, landing a huge tilt-a-whirl powerslam, and following up with a big overhead throw. But just when Zena looks to have the match won, Sirena turns the tide and steals the victory with a handful of tights. Classic heel finish, and a strong showing from both women. Sirena deserves

Match 2: Penina "P-Nasty" Tuilaepa vs. Tatyanna Dumas

“P-Nasty” wastes no time showing off her power, completely overpowering Tatyanna in the opening stretch—though the constant on-screen ads are definitely starting to distract from the action (just saying). Tatyanna finally finds an opening and shifts momentum, but Penina quickly regains control with a big slam. Tatyanna recovers fast and targets the arm with a submission attempt, locking in a clean-looking armbar, but Penina powers out once again. She follows up with a crushing Samoan Drop for a near fall, and doesn’t let up. Penina stays aggressive, and after wearing Tatyanna down, finishes the match with a solid (though not quite devastating) spear for the 1-2-3. Another win for “P-Nasty”—and another notch in her belt as she continues to build serious momentum.

Match 3: Anthony Luke vs. Chris Island

Anthony Luke is feeling himself tonight—new gloves, big swagger, and real flair on full display. Chris Island counters with technical precision, showing off clean grappling and sharp timing. When Chris misses a running knee and gets caught up in the ropes, Luke sees his opportunity and nails a vicious chop block—smart move. From there, Luke targets the knee with laser focus, eventually locking in a awful-looking single leg crab—but Chris digs deep and manages to crawl to the ropes. Island fights back with grit, landing a shoulder block and a smooth monkey flip to shift the momentum. But Luke stays locked in, going right back to the knee and shutting Chris down with precision. He scores the win in a solid, well-paced match that played to both men’s strengths. Honestly? These two could be a killer duo if they ever teamed up—Luke brings the flash, Island brings the fundamentals. Great chemistry here.

Main Event: Shiloh Hill vs. Elijah Holyfield

Before the bell, Bubba tells Taker they need to watch this one from the crowd—and he's got just the spot. After the break, we find them perched on the Performance Center platform (thankfully with chairs), scouting the action from above. Taker notes that Shiloh needs a story—and it really gets you thinking. What’s her arc going to be when she finally hits NXT... or even the main roster? Back in the ring, Elijah Holyfield comes out hot, landing the early offense with power and speed. But once Shiloh finds her rhythm, she flips the switch and dishes out a brutal beatdown. Elijah’s comeback is explosive—he earns a near fall and looks like he might take the match. Still, Shiloh digs deep and finishes strong with what looked like a double underhook spinning slam (someone name that move ASAP). This match was fast, fun, and over too soon—I wanted more time with these two.

Standouts this week? Tough call across the board, but Sirena Linton brought her best work yet, and Elijah Holyfield looked like a star, we shall find out after the break.
With the matches in the books, it’s time to hear from the Legends. For the women, Mickie James casts her vote for Penina "P-Nasty" Tuilaepa after a powerful performance, but Booker T, The Undertaker, and Bubba Ray Dudley all throw their support behind Sirena Linton, who brought her best heel work to date. That gives Sirena the edge and the point this week. On the men’s side, it’s unanimous—Elijah Holyfield wins over every single Legend. His fire, presence, and hard-hitting offense against Shiloh Hill made him an undeniable standout. Couldn’t agree more. Great show tonight. LFG continues to deliver.

Summary: S02E03

It was character night on LFG, and the Future Greats stepped up. Shawn Michaels made a surprise appearance to challenge the roster to show evolution in and out of the ring, and we got just that. Sirena Linton delivered her best work yet in a gritty win over Zena Serling, Penina “P-Nasty” Tuilaepa powered through Tatyanna Dumas, and Anthony Luke picked up a smart, focused win over Chris Island. But the main event belonged to Shiloh Hill and Elijah Holyfield, who brought the fire with Bubba and Taker watching from above. Elijah showed star potential while Shiloh scored the victory in a match that left us wanting more.
When it came time for the Legends to vote, Sirena took the point for the women’s division (despite Mickie backing Penina), while Elijah swept the votes from all four Legends to earn the men’s point. LFG continues to balance performance and storytelling—and with characters starting to take shape, things are only getting better from here.
