WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: FEBRUARY 7, 2025
- Jey Uso opened up the show with an in-ring promo with Cody Rhodes about how they respect each other, teasing that this could be the WrestleMania match. They were interrupted by Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, leading to a fight that would turn into a standard "tag team match announced for later on" affair.
- Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Bianca Belair defeated Piper Niven by pinfall.
- Katana Chance and Kayden Carter were shown backstage talking to Nick Aldis about how they're now on the SmackDown roster. Carmelo Hayes interrupted and booted them out of the room to say he should get a bye to get into the Elimination Chamber just like John Cena. Apparently, Adam Pearce called up Aldis to request Hayes face Akira Tozawa tonight because Hayes had cost Tozawa a spot in the Royal Rumble.
- #DIY cut an in-ring promo about how great they are and how The Motor City Machine Guns will never hold the tag team titles ever again. They asked for a moment of silence for that and were interrupted by Pretty Deadly looking to make good on the promise that with all they've done to help Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa retain the titles, they deserve the next shot. Nick Aldis booked an eliminator match, and Pretty Deadly defeated #DIY by pinfall to earn a future title opportunity.
- The Miz is still looking for people to partner up with now that he's on SmackDown and was trying to suck up to Cody Rhodes, who said he doesn't need his help. The Miz then got into The American Nightmare's head by saying "Jey Uso vs Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania is one hell of a story."
- Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat Match: Drew McIntyre defeated LA Knight and Jimmy Uso by pinfall on Knight.
- Backstage, Damian Priest spoke to Byron Saxton about being in an Elimination Chamber qualifier next week. Braun Strowman interrupted, as he's also in that match (as well as Jacob Fatu). They jaw-jacked for a moment about how they're going to win.
- Carmelo Hayes defeated Akira Tozawa by pinfall. After the commercial break, R-Truth was helping Tozawa backstage when he came across Jey Uso and congratulated him for becoming King of the Ring. Jey corrected him that he won the Royal Rumble and then, Jey and Cody had a tense moment where Rhodes asked how he's feeling about WrestleMania and Uso said he's undecided, as he has some personal beef with Gunther and wants to "beat him, too."
- Charlotte Flair cut a promo about how she lives rent-free in everyone's minds and people are obsessed with her. Tiffany Stratton came out and they talked some trash with Flair basically repeating the same thing as she did with Rhea Ripley (as in, Rhea is "just a kid" and Stratton is "a kid begging" to be seen as a star). Nia Jax and Candice LeRae came out to announce Jax is getting a title match against Stratton next week.
- Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Alexa Bliss defeated Candice LeRae by pinfall.
- Backstage, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven spoke to Byron Saxton, who pointed out that Niven lost her qualifier, but that Chelsea Green has a chance to qualify next week against Naomi. They were interrupted by Michin and B-Fab, who are still upset with Green over the Royal Rumble and Michin wanting a rematch for the Women's United States Championship. Zelina Vega then also came over to say now that she's on SmackDown, maybe she should get a title opportunity. Green told Niven to beef up the security detail and Niven questioned how many people hate Green.
- The Street Profits had a vignette talking about why they interfered at Royal Rumble. The Motor City Machine Guns were responding backstage when they had a confrontation with Los Garza to set up a match for next week.
- Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeated Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga by pinfall. Solo Sikoa then attacked Rhodes with a Samoan Spike to end the episode.
