WWE Night of Champions 2025 Spoilers |
Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: John Cena (c) vs. CM Punk
Honestly, I'm surprised this is happening here. I know Chicago wasn't listed as any upcoming premium live events to target, but there was still a chance that could've been announced. Even still, for Punk to be going to Saudi Arabia for it wasn't my prediction by any means. I wonder if they convinced him, or if they just ordered him to do it and he's being a loyal soldier, or if the money is too good to pass up. Whatever the case, it's happening.
Obviously, Cena doesn't lose the title here. Now that we know Cody Rhodes is in the King of the Ring tournament, I fully expect him to win it and to challenge Cena at SummerSlam. Speaking of which....
PREDICTION: John Cena retains.
King of the Ring Tournament Final: TBD vs. TBD
We don't know who the other man in the Raw Fatal 4-Way will be, but I don't think it will be anyone who can usurp where I think this is going. For the record, I think there's a chance it's Jey Uso who gets that spot, but it could also be a returning Ilja Dragunov or maybe even a special new signing.
I think Cody Rhodes beats Damian Priest, Andrade, and Shinsuke Nakamura, then goes on to beat Bronson Reed, and is up in the finals against either Sami Zayn or Randy Orton. Cody wins the tournament and challenges Cena at SummerSlam, beats him for the title there, and Cena starts his babyface turn to finish out the rest of the year.
There is certainly a chance, however, that this mystery person ends up winning the tournament and challenges Gunther for the title. Cody can still get his Cena match without winning it. Remember, the winner of the tournament challenges the champion of their brand specifically, and that doesn't in any way invalidate how the other brand's title could still be on the line on the two-night SummerSlam. You'd assume all 4 world champions will be competing.
PREDICTION: Cody Rhodes wins.
Queen of the Ring Tournament Final: TBD vs. TBD
Roxanne Perez has advanced so far, but I don't think she's making it to the finals. My guess is Jade Cargill wins the bottom left side of the bracket and beats her, going on to the finals against Charlotte Flair, who beats the bottom right side of Asuka or Stephanie Vaquer.
Then, Cargill wins the Queen of the Ring, and challenges Naomi, who will have cashed in Money in the Bank and beaten Tiffany Stratton by then.
PREDICTION: Jade Cargill wins.
