This 2023 WWE releases list is a year-by-year archive of WWE Superstars, wrestlers and on-screen talent who left the company during 2023. This resource tracks confirmed releases, roster departures, developmental exits, contract expirations and clearly labeled storyline firings from that calendar year.

WWE SUPERSTARS RELEASED IN 2023:

• January 11 - Sudu Shah was released by WWE.
• March 8 - Sarray departed WWE/NXT.
• March 23 - Naomi confirmed she was no longer with WWE.
• April 1 - Eric Young left WWE before making a televised return.
• July 31 - Aleah James confirmed she was no longer with WWE.
• August 15 - Lacey Evans confirmed that she was no longer with WWE.
• September 13 - Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler left WWE after previously requesting their releases in April.
• Undetermined date - Houston Miller was released from the WWE Performance Center. 
• September 21 - Abule Abadi-Fitzgerald, Alexis Gray, Aliyah, Brooklyn Barlow, Bryson Montana, Dabba-Kato, Dana Brooke, Daniel McArthur, Dolph Ziggler, Elias, Emma, Ikemen Jiro, Kevin Ventura-Cortes, Mace, Mansoor, Mustafa Ali, Quincy Elliott, Rick Boogs, Riddick Moss, Shanky, Shelton Benjamin, Top Dolla, and Yulisa Leon were released by WWE.
• September 22 - Matt Riddle was released by WWE.
• September 23 - Melanie Brzezinski was released from the WWE Performance Center.
• October 1 - Edge left WWE when his contract expired and debuted for AEW at WrestleDream.
• Late October / early November - Alexis Lete, Alivia Ash, Gina DeLucia, Giovanna Eburneo and Sarah Baer were released from the WWE Performance Center.
• December 1 - McKenzie Mitchell was released by WWE.

• August 11 - Jey Uso quit WWE in storyline on SmackDown during the Bloodline angle.
