WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 Results

Kickoff — Mixed Tag Team Match: Chase University (Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Thea Hail and Tyler Bate) vs. Schism (Joe Gacy, Ava Raine, Jagger Reid, Rip Fowler)

RESULT: Chase University won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I loved the April Fools turn from Duke Hudson, and I'm surprised about the Chase U victory. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with Ava Raine's debut. But this was a fun opener for the kickoff.

NXT Women's Championship Ladder Match: Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Gigi Dolin vs. Indi Hartwell vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Zoey Stark

RESULT: Indi Hartwell won the title with some help from Dexter Lumis!
THOUGHTS: Totally didn't see this outcome taking place. That's a surprise, for sure. Not just Indi winning, but Dexter Lumis helping her to do so. I'm curious why they felt the need to do this Roxanne story and then transition to Indi, after having spent so much time teasing a heel turn for Indi. Was it just an internal debate about not being sure she should turn heel, and then, they opted to go with the babyface win and didn't want to take the shine off Roxanne (or were legit worried about her health for a bit?) Hm. I'd love to know more. But I don't think Indi is holding that belt long, and as far as this match was concerned, I enjoyed it fine for an opener.

NXT Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match: Gallus (c) vs. The Creed Brothers vs. Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo

RESULT: Gallus retained by pinfall with help from a returning Joe Coffey.
THOUGHTS: Incredibly flat match. The big spot was botched (with Brutus Creed) and Joe Coffey's return didn't get almost any reaction, and led to a finish that seemed like it had no steam behind it.

NXT North American Championship Fatal 5-Way Match: Wes Lee (c) vs. Axiom vs. Dragon Lee vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. JD McDonagh

RESULT: Wes Lee won by pinfall over Ilja Dragunov.
THOUGHTS: This match wasn't quite as good as I was hoping, and the dead crowd for 75% of it certainly didn't help, but I still overall enjoyed the segment, I think Dragon Lee came out of this looking great and Wes Lee has pretty much legitimized his title reign doubly with this match.

Unsanctioned Match: Grayson Waller vs. Johnny Gargano

RESULT: Johnny Gargano won by submission.
THOUGHTS: Very good match. They delivered (and stood).

NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Fallon Henley and Kiana James (c) vs. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn

RESULT: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn won the titles by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Generic match. The finish came about by Brooks Jensen not giving James her purse to use to cheat to win (as he was convinced by Henley and Josh Briggs not to). The story continues, and as expected, the tag titles changing hands will stop them from needing to work together.

NXT Championship Match: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes

RESULT: Carmelo Hayes won the title by pinfall with some help from Trick Williams.
THOUGHTS: Rock solid match, as anticipated between these two.
