Smark Out Moment

The latest round of tapings for WWE NXT were done on January 4, 2018 at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. The following are spoilers of the results for the content during the tapings, which will appear on the next few episodes of NXT. WWE may choose to edit things differently, rearrange matches or add supplemental content.

• Shayna Baszler defeats Dakota Kai in a quick squash with the referee stopping the match. She continues to attack her after the match, but Ember Moon rushes in to make the save.
• Lars Sullivan defeats Lio Rush. After the match, Sullivan calls out Killian Dain before attacking Rush some more.
• The Undisputed Era attack SAnitY backstage. The Undisputed Era come out to the ring. Nikki Cross tries to come out as well. Aleister Black and Roderick Strong come out to fight and William Regal books those two against Fish and O'Reilly for the tag titles.
• The Undisputed Era defeat Roderick Strong and Adam Cole to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship. William Regal announces Adam Cole vs. Aleister Black for TakeOver: Philadelphia
• Andrade "Cien" Almas defeats Kassius Ohno
• Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss defeat Heavy Machinery
• Lacey Evans defeats Aliyah. After the match, Evans calls out Nikki Cross, but Shayna Baszler comes out to beat down Aliyah. Ember Moon comes out and issues a challenge to Baszler for TakeOver: Philadelphia.
• Roderick Strong defeats Fabian Aichner. Strong then issues a challenge to Lars Sullivan.
• Johnny Gargano comes out for a promo about how he will face The Velveteen Dream later to determine who gets the title shot against Andrade Almas at TakeOver.
• The Authors of Pain defeat The Street Profits in a No. 1 contender's match for a title shot at TakeOver: Philadelphia
• No Way Jose defeats Cezar Bononi
• Bianca Belair defeats Luscious Latasha
• The Authors of Pain attack two jobbers before their match starts
• Johnny Gargano defeats The Velveteen Dream to retain his spot as the No. 1 contender for the NXT Championship
