  • Flash Morgan Webster defeated Jordan Devlin
  • Travis Banks defeated Ashton Smith
  • Toni Storm defeated Jinny, Killer Kelly and Isla Dawn in a Fatal 4-Way to earn a title shot against Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women's Championship

  • Zack Gibson defeated Travis Banks to win the tournament and earn a title opportunity against Pete Dunne for the United Kingdom Championship

DAY ONE RECAP:

I'll be doing a running commentary of my thoughts for this, so that is why you'll see the bullet list below and how it won't seem too organized.

  • Gentleman Jack Gallagher needs to not ever wear those trunks ever again. Ever.
  • Zack Gibson looks bland. He could be anybody from anywhere in any indie fed and I'd think nothing of it.
  • The two biggest guys in the tournament against each other seems like an odd choice to me, but okay.
  • Joe Coffey needs new ring gear, too.
  • Coffey and Dave Mastiff move around pretty well for their sizes.
  • Speaking of which, nice springboard, Coffey.
  • I can't look at Jordan Devlin and not think that he's an attempt to clone Finn Balor.
  • If I didn't know the results ahead of time, I would have thought Ashton Smith would beat Travis Banks.
  • Killer Kelly is trying waaaaay too hard.
  • Okay, so we're just going to ignore the whole Jinny thing? I was curious to see that go down.
  • Toni Storm strikes me as being in an entirely different league than Isla Dawn and Killer Kelly.
  • Johnny Saint is not an entertaining talker.
  • So we've gone through all of these people, and we're at the finals, and I'm not all that impressed by anybody in the grand scheme of things. That's not a good sign for the NXT UK division in my future. I'm not sure I'm really going to want to invest in watching that every week.
  • Everyone seems to be high on this six-man tag team match, but by the time that came around, I was too bored to pay too much attention to it. All the matches ahead of time just took the energy out of me.
  • That was awkward with Johnny Saint, Triple H, Zack Gibson and Shawn Michaels not knowing how to stand.

DAY TWO RESULTS
(taping June 19th; airing June 26th):

  • Moustache Mountain defeated The Undisputed Era to win the NXT Tag Team Championship!
  • Charlie Morgan defeated Killer Kelly
  • Noam Dar defeated Flash Morgan Webster, Travis Banks, and Mark Andrews in a Fatal 4-Way to become the No. 1 contender to the United Kingdom Championship
  • Adam Cole retained the NXT North American Championship over Wolfgang
  • Aleister Black and Ricochet defeated EC3 and The Velveteen Dream by pinfall
  • Shayna Baszler retained the NXT Women's Championship over Toni Storm by count out
  • Pete Dunne retained the United Kingdom Championship over Zack Gibson to end the show

DAY TWO RECAP:

  • I wish I didn't know the results of this, so I'd be shocked for the tag title change.
  • Charlie Morgan is "female Mark Andrews" right?
  • Speaking of Mark Andrews.
  • Flash Morgan Webster seems to be one of the only ones in this tournament who has some passion behind him and wants to be a superstar, rather than just a professional wrestler.
  • A four-man fatal match? Johnny Saint is really blah on the mic.
  • I'm glad to see Noam Dar back. People seem to crap on him quite a bit, but I'm a fan.
  • Can't say the same about Wolfgang, who has shown me nothing so far.
  • Count out is a good way for Baszler to retain the title while keeping Storm looking strong enough that she can be the NXT UK women's champion.
  • I feel like this tournament would have been better off to determine the women's or tag titles instead of to do nothing much beyond having Dunne retain, even though that was the smarter decision than giving it to Gibson.
