This week's episode of WWE NXT was taped on January 4, 2018 at the Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. The following are spoilers of the results from the original tapings. WWE may choose to edit things differently, rearrange or add other supplemental content.

  • Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss defeat Heavy Machinery
  • Roderick Strong defeats Fabian Aichner. Strong then issues a challenge to Lars Sullivan.
  • Lacey Evans defeats Aliyah. After the match, Evans calls out Nikki Cross, but Shayna Baszler comes out to beat down Aliyah. Ember Moon comes out and issues a challenge to Baszler for TakeOver: Philadelphia.
  • Johnny Gargano comes out for a promo about how he will face The Velveteen Dream later to determine who gets the title shot against Andrade Almas at TakeOver.
  • The Authors of Pain defeat The Street Profits in a No. 1 contender's match for a title shot at TakeOver: Philadelphia
