predictions for UFC 220 pay-per-view Miocic vs Ngannou

MAIN CARD

HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Stipe Miocic (c) vs Francis Ngannou (#1)

What a fight this is! I don't care who wins, I just hope it's fast-paced and vicious.

PREDICTION: Francis Ngannou, 2nd round KO.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Daniel Cormier (c) vs Volkan Oezdemir (#2)

It's all about whether Oezdemir can land that punsh before Cormier gets him to the ground. It's as simple as that and very tough to call. I think Cormier is one of the best of all time and will get it to the ground.

PREDICTION: Daniel Cormier, 1st round submission.

FEATHERWEIGHT: Calvin Kattar vs Shane Burgos

Does Burgos go 11-0? Kattar has only lost 2 of his 19 fights, both guys will be looking toward a title shot in the not-too-distant future with a win.

PREDICTION: Shane Burgos, 2nd round submission.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Gian Villante vs Francimar Barroso

Barroso has a much better record, and I'm going to have to give him the win on that basis.

PREDICTION: Francimar Barroso, 3rd round KO.

BANTAMWEIGHT: Thomas Almeida (#10) vs Rob Font (#14)

What a great fight this is! Sleeper for Fight of the Night and quite difficult to call.

PREDICTION: Thomas Almeida, decision.

PRELIMINARY CARD

FEATHERWEIGHT: Kyle Bochniak vs Brandon Davis

Very similar records, I have to give the edge to the guy with the physical advantages.

PREDICTION: Brandon Davis, 2nd round KO.

WELTERWEIGHT: Sabah Homasi vs Abdul Razak Alhassan

So this fight has been booked on each of the past three events now, Alhassan won the first, no reason to think he won't win the second.

PREDICTION: Abdul Razak Alhassan, 2nd round KO.

FLYWEIGHT: Dustin Ortiz (#10) vs Alexandre Pantoja (#11)

Pantoja looks impressive, but Ortiz is a real test. Pantoja looks on course for a title shot with a few more wins and I'd like to see him fight Demetrious Johnson.

PREDICTION: Alexandre Pantoja, 2nd round submission.

FEATHERWEIGHT: Dan Ige vs Julio Arce

Either guy could really start to move forward with a win, it's tough, but I'll give Arce the edge.

PREDICTION: Julio Arce, decision.

EARLY PRELIMINARY CARD

FEATHERWEIGHT: Matt Bessette vs Enrique Barzola

Both guys have decent records, but I think experience wins it for Bessette.

PREDICTION: Matt Bessette, 3rd round submission.

LIGHTWEIGHT: Islam Makhachev vs Gleison Tibau

I like Makhachev and think he can beat Tibau, that's not to say it will be easy, though.

PREDICTION: Islam Makhachev, decision.
