Welcome to another edition of WOMEN'S WRESTLING WEEKLY—a rundown of the events which have transpired in the world of women's professional wrestling over the past several days not just with the Superstars on WWE programming, but with Impact Wrestling's Knockouts, Lucha Underground's luchadoras, and even a glimpse at the women on the independent circuit.

WWE Monday Night Raw

Paige & Mandy Rose vs. Bayley & Mickie James

Things didn't start too hot for newcomer Mandy Rose, who was used as a human shield by teammate Paige before finally gaining the upper hand against our favorite Hugger and Mickie James. Paige and Rose utilized Paige's brawling style and, of course, under-handed heel techniques to outplay Bayley and James and pick up the pinfall victory.

Mandy Rose looks good in the ring. It's amazing to see how much progress she has made. She got the pinfall too, which is great in terms of building her up. At this point, the story feels a bit slow considering it will be 84 years until the next Raw pay-per-view, but honestly? I kind of like the slow burn. It's refreshing.

Winner: Paige & Mandy Rose
Rating: 2.5/5

Asuka vs. The World

Alicia Fox was set to be eaten alive by our favorite Empress/World Eater/Dragon, but Absolution attacked her backstage and took her out of commission. Paige and Co. came out to confront Asuka, who was already in the ring, and tell her tog et out of their way lest they make her, but Asuka silently refused in that magical Asuka way she has.

Absolution triple-teamed Asuka, who was holding up well because she's a beast who cannot be contained by mere mortals, but when they began to get the upper hand, the Raw women came to her aid. More specifically, they came for their just desserts against Absolution, who fled for the hills.

WWE SmackDown

Charlotte Flair vs. Ruby Riott

How amazing is it that we're getting this match in the year of our lord 2017? Okay, now that my inner nerd is satisfied, let's talk this match. As Riott and Flair locked up, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan attempted to interfere. Flair held her own fairly comfortably until Natalya came out and attacked her, giving her the win by disqualification.

After the match, the heels attempted to mug Charlotte, and looked to be succeeding, until a returning Naomi arrived to even the odds in her usual spectacular fashion. She was soon joined by Lana, Carmella and Tamina to bring the pain to the Riott Squad's doorstep.

Excellent. Bring on the chaos.

Winner: Charlotte Flair
Rating: 2.5/5

Impact Wrestling

Sienna vs. Allie vs. KC Spinelli vs. Madison Rayne

The first match of the night was to determine a new challenger for either Rosemary or Laurel Van Ness. Sienna, Spinelli and Rayne attacked Allie first, and once she was out of the picture, turned their focus to the ever-unfortunate Sienna. However, Allie soon returned with a vengeance to the crowd's delight, taking advantage of the women's split focus to score a roll-up on Sienna and secure herself a shot at the Knockouts Championship.

Winner: Allie
Rating: 2.5/5

Rosemary vs. Laurel Van Ness (Knockouts Championship match)

Van Ness started with a vengeance as the crowd chanted its support for Rosemary. She threw her colorful opponent out of the ring and into the steps. Rosemary tried fighting back, but once van Ness countered a Red Wedding, the writing was on the walls. Van Ness avoided a misting and hit a brutal Unprettier from the top rope to secure the Knockouts Championship.

Winner: Laurel Van Ness
Rating: 3/5

WWE NXT

Ember Moon vs. Peyton Royce

Uh, okay, so this match for some reason wasn't a part of the USA Network broadcast, but i was able to find it on the Network so...there you go. This was your basic match; Peyton showed a lot of fight but Moon's Eclipse is unstoppable. Billie Kay attacked after, but was chased off by Nikki Cross.

These women are fantastic. I wish this match had been on the USA Network.

Winner: Ember Moon
Rating: 2/5

International Corner:

This section includes recaps of matches from around the world in various lesser-known independent promotions throughout the week.

Dynamo Pro

Match: Rahne Victoria vs. Savanna Stone vs. Tootie Lynn Ramsey
Winner: Rahne Victoria

PROGRESS

Match: Candyfloss & Zoe Lucas vs. Bea Priestley & Laura Di Matteo
Winner: Candyfloss & Zoe Lucas

MATCH OF THE WEEK:
Rosemary vs. Laurel Van Ness

This week wasn't spectacular in terms of in-ring product, but Rosemary and Laurel Van Ness proved they can deliver when it counts. Van Ness winning was a surprise to the live crowd, but she's an interesting character with a high ceiling. She'll be great.

WOMEN OF THE WEEK:
Laurel Van Ness
