WWE Title Change: AJ Styles Wins United States Championship on SmackDown 7/25/2017 | Smark Out Moment
The WWE United States Championship has changed hands as AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens to win the title on the July 25, 2017 edition of SmackDown Live.

My immediate reaction: So that title change at Battleground was either pointlessly done just for the sake of a shock (and poorly executed) or it was a mistake that they needed to correct tonight by putting the title back on Styles. I'm not opposed to Styles holding the title again, but I really want to know what WWE's plan is here before I criticize or praise this.
