WWE Power Rankings Top 25 Superstars This Week: 9/24/2016

Posted by Ben Guest Saturday, September 24, 2016
Welcome to another edition of Power Rankings from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

25. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler lost an Intercontinental Championship match against The Miz on SmackDown. I know the last two both involved cheating but he's lost 3 championship matches in the space of a month, just give someone else a shot.

24. The Wyatt Family

Erick Rowan lost against Randy Orton on SmackDown and there was another tease that Rowan was being kicked out of The Wyatt Family. JUST MAKE YOUR MIND UP!

23. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins' match with Rusev on Raw ended in a double countout. It doesn't feel like Rollins is in the world title picture.

22. The Club

The Club cut a promo before losing against The New Day, Enzo and Cass and Sami Zayn. They were kind of just thrown into this match to remind everyone they're fighting for the titles.

21. The New Day

See above. Except instead of reminding people they're fighting for the titles, they're defending them.

20. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn beat The Club, Chris Jericho and Shining Stars on Raw. I keep forgetting who Chris Jericho is feuding with. It's Sami Zayn.

19. Randy Orton

Randy Orton beat Erick Rowan on SmackDown.

18. Charlotte and Dana Brooke

Charlotte and Dana Brooke beat Sasha Banks and Bayley on Raw. A heel is getting frustrated with her mentor. I guess this means Dana will cost Charlotte a match and then they'll have a feud. Maybe it would be better if I cared about either of them.

17. Enzo and Cass

Enzo and Cass beat Shining Stars, The Club and Chris Jericho. Enzo got the pin on one of Shining Stars to make up for the two losses in the last two weeks.

16. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin beat Apollo Crews on SmackDown. Again.

15. Sasha Banks and Bayley

Sasha Banks and Bayley beat Charlotte and Dana Brooke. Not sure about having this feud start so early but it's working so far.

14. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho lost against Sami Zayn, The New Day and Enzo and Cass on Raw. But more importantly, he started to create The LIST of Jericho. Drink it in, maaaaaan.

13. American Alpha

American Alpha lost against The Usos on SmackDown and Chad Gable's previous injury was exploited again. This is really good story telling. It keeps them out of the title picture, gives them a good reason to be able to chase the belts later down the line, and Jason Jordan refusing to tag Gable in when he was injured is good babyface character development.

12. Rusev

Rusev's match with Seth Rollins on Raw ended in a double countout.

11. John Cena

John Cena lost against Dean Ambrose on SmackDown. It built the main event of No Mercy well.

10. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss signed the contract for their match at No Mercy. I like contract signings and this one was good.

9. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens cut a promo before losing a cage match against Roman Reigns on Raw. Why have the cage match on Raw instead of at Clash of Champions. Clash of the champions? Night of Champions? Whatever this next pay-per-view's called.

8. Roman Reigns

See above. To finish my point about the cage match. I understand that they should be a little bit unpredictable and this certainly caught people by surprise. So overall, it was a nice touch.

7. The Miz

The Miz beat Dolph Ziggler in an Intercontinental Championship match on SmackDown. Isn't The Miz great? No, he's Awesome.

6. Cesaro

Cesaro beat Sheamus to make it 3-3 in the best of 7 series. I said Cesaro would win 4-3 and I'll only give WWE any credit if Sheamus wins the final match. But even then... Ew, Sheamus.

5. The Brian Kendrick

The Brian Kendrick beat Rich Swann, Gran Metalik and Cedric Alexander to become number 1 contender for the Cruiserweight Championship on Raw. Give the veteran the title shot to put over the new guy. Cool.

4. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman beat Sin Cara on Raw.

3. The Usos

The Usos beat American Alpha on Raw to become number 1 contenders for the Tag Team Championships. They're character development is kind of coming along. Slowly. Very Slowly.

2. Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose beat John Cena on SmackDown. I said it was a big deal when AJ Styles did it and it's just as big a deal now.

1. Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss an Becky Lynch signed the contract for their Women's Championship match on SmackDown. How good has Alexa Bliss been since the draft? Every appearance whether it be on pay-per-view, TV or Talking Smack has been great. I'm glad she's getting a title shot even if it is just to hand Becky a win.

Do you think anyone should be listed differently?
