The road to Money in the Bank is underway as he had a major match announcement this week as John Cena is set to take on AJ Styles. Which is a mind blowing match up, and something I never thought we would ever see. The indie-darling vs. the face of the monopoly of sports entertainment. I think we'll see who the seventh participant is in the ladder match, and we'll also hear a lot about Brock Lesnar this week. It was announced on Saturday evening that he will be co-main eventing UFC 200, and it was 110% approved by WWE. They also said in their announcement that Lesnar will be at SummerSlam, which should be a surprise to no one. There's a possibility that we will see a few more matches announced for the MITB card, but all focus is on building to what looks to be another solid PPV.

PROMO: The first promo of the night belongs to.. All the Money in the Bank ladder match participants? The show starts off with every member of the match each on top of a ladder in the ring with Dean Ambrose on the way down to join them. KO says that Lillian doesn't need to introduce anyone, except Sami because no one knows him. Jericho agrees, and he is the most famous of the group. KO says after the match that he will be the most famous, and the rest will be known as the men who watched him win. Dean just wants to fight, and has no time for talking. Sami says that no one is guaranteed anything, but this is definitely an opportunity. He will take advantage of that opportunity and will take on all comers. Dean still just wants to fight, and still doesn't care. Del Rio finally comes in and says that KO is but a dog covered in fleas, nothing more than a paper boy. The "Si!" chants start up. Then Cesaro starts to talk but Jericho tells him to "shut your dumb mouth before I throw it in the crowd with the rest of the Cesaro Section". Then he says that he created this match, and it his match. The rest of the guys question why he hasn't won one yet if its his match, and he claims he has won. The first one.. Or maybe the sixth one..? Acting like a spoiled child, and then tells us to take in the gift of Jericho. Then the brawl finally begins. Then all the sudden Teddy Long is back!! Theodore Long! Former GM of SmackDown is out to talk to the contestants? Long says he is back to take the reigns of SmackDown, or at least he hopes. Then Steph comes out and asks what Teddy is truly doing here. She informs Teddy that they've made no decisions on who is running SmackDown or Raw when the split happens. Teddy says that he'd rather talk to Shane, but Steph informs us that Shane isn't here tonight as he is on vacation. She then throws Teddy out. She announces a set of matches, Sami vs. ADR, KO vs. Ambrose, and Jericho vs. Cesaro which starts now. Stephanie then drops Teddy's trademark "Holla holla holla!"

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Chris Jericho vs. Cesaro

RESULTS: Cesaro wins via submission.
THOUGHTS: This is was a super entertaining match, and will probably be the best of the Money in the Bank match participant matches.

They replay the AJ and Cena segment from last week where AJ turned on Cena thus setting up a match at Money in the Bank.

*Commercial Break*

They play a video package of the career of Seth Rollins. From his rise of The Shield, and the way he destroyed it. To his fight with his injury and his perseverance of his singles career.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Rusev (w/Lana) vs. Jack Swagger

Titus O'Neil is on the commentary team for this one.

Rusev shoves Swagger into Rusev thus ending the match in a DQ. Then both Titus and Swagger attack Rusev.

RESULTS: Rusev wins via DQ.
THOUGHTS: I figured this may happen. Swagger is the hometown boy so I wasn't figuring him to get beaten down, and when someone is on commentary they get involved 99.99% of the time.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO: John Cena is here to talk about what happened last week with AJ Styles. Cena starts off with the saying "You never know what you have until its gone." in regards to the excitement of him and AJ in the same ring for the first time ever last week. John says he has been in a lot of big WWE moments, but the energy he felt AJ was only comparable to that he felt with The Rock. That's because its a moment that people thought would never happen. An answer to the question "What if..?" but now he seeks an answer to another question.. "Why?" Why did he take the easy way out. He wants AJ to explain himself, and out comes AJ to do just that. He isn't alone however. With Gallows and Anderson close behind. AJ says it was because he had a plan. That plan was simple. Get in the ring, shake his hand, and punch him in his face. And it worked perfectly. AJ says he insults him. He's great on the mic, in his movies, on the talk shows.. But when that bell rings he is an insult to pro wrestlers. On his best days, he can't beat AJ Styles. Cena says he sees a guy who worked for 20 years to make it to WWE, got his shot in the Rumble and did nothing. Then failed as he chased the WWE Title. For 20 years he has been God's gift to wrestling, but in WWE he is bust. He isn't phenomenal, he's desperate. He says "You can't beat Roman, now you're coming at John Cena?" AJ says he is far from desperate. He sells out everywhere he goes all over the world. John wants to know why its John vs. The Club, not Cena vs. Styles. He says he knows that when you face Cena and lose you might as well get out the shovel, and The Club is there to make sure his head stays above dirt. Then the three men surround the ring, and then The New Day rush the ring to John's side. The New Day has a match with The Club tonight after they ambushed New Day during a match last week. The Club then backs off as Cena and The New Day stand tall in the ring. This feud is brilliant.

MATCH: The Vaudevillians vs. Enzo & Cass

Aiden English tries to do the same thing to Enzo that they did to him at Payback by slamming his head on the mat in an attempt to injure him. Cass saw that and snapped brutalizing both English and Gotch getting a DQ.

RESULT: The Vaudevillians win via DQ.
THOUGHTS: Love both Enzo & Cass and The Vaudevillians but this angle here was stupid.

PROMO: Tom Phillips stops Sami and asks if he thinks he is an underdog against Del Rio tonight, and Sami says yes. Simply because Del Rio has already proven himself in the business, and Sami is still finding his footing even though he knows he can beat him. Del Rio then jumps in and agrees, and calls him a dog just like he does everyone else.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO: Teddy Long comes in to bother Steph like a job interview. He says he would take advantage of the tag team scene and take The Vaudevillians, Enzo & Cass, and Gallows & Anderson and make it a fatal four way Tag Team Championship match at Money in the Bank. Stephanie then tells him to leave her office, and then calls marketing to make the match official and takes the credit for herself.

MATCH: Sami Zayn vs. Alberto Del Rio

RESULT: Alberto Del Rio wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Would've liked to see Sami win here, but this was a decent match nonetheless.

PROMO: Dean is walking backstage and is stopped by KO. KO says that he should be worried about him, and in two weeks he is going to dismember him with a ladder. Kevin says that he's known Dean for awhile but he seems more off the deep end then usual. Says he needs help, and then Dean says after MITB you'll be the one that needs help.

*Commercial Break*

They play Roman Reigns side of the video package. Similar to Seth Rollins' earlier in the evening.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens

After the match, Dean grabs a ladder and starts to climb up to the briefcase, but is knocked down by KO who claims the briefcase is his.

RESULT: Dean Ambrose wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: I feel like we've seen this match up so many times I wasn't really interested. Nonetheless, KO is my pick to walk out with the briefcase. If not him, then Ambrose.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO: Women's champion Charlotte is coming to the ring next with Dana Brooke. Charlotte says that every great champ should have the courage to admit when they were wrong. Then, she says that she is sorry but what she said needed to be said. When she said he was dead to her, it was in a professional sense. She still wants to be his daughter, and then she is interrupted by Natty and Becky. Who aren't buying any of this. Charlotte begins bashing Natty's family, and then Natty says her family isn't perfect but no one should treat their father like Charlotte did. Becky turns to Dana and says she shouldn't trust Charlotte because she uses people. Dana seems to be thinking it over, and then sides with Natty and Becky. But only to attack them from behind, and the brawl starts. Charlotte and Dana stand tall in the ring.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Tyler Breeze (w/Fandango) vs. R-Truth (w/Goldust)

It took about two minutes for this to turn into a brawl between both teams, and then Teddy Long comes out with a solution. He restarts the match as a tag match.. Or tries to until he is escorted out by security.

RESULT: Ended in DQ.
THOUGHTS: I hate everything about this besides Goldust. Breeze and Fandango had some comedic moment however.

PROMO: Steph stops Teddy on his way out and says that he won't be running SmackDown, someone better will be. That person is her.

*Commercial Break*

They show a video package of WWE moments featuring the late, great Muhammad Ali who is arguably the original sports entertainer even though he's a boxer. RIP, Champ.

MATCH: The New Day vs. The Club

I'm expecting Cena to make an appearance here at some point.

During the commercial break, AJ Styles hit a Styles Clash on Woods on the floor outside the ring that sent him to the back. So now its 3 on 2, and I'm sure that's where Cena is going to come in.

Styles hits the Phenomenal Forearm on Kofi for the win, and then The Club attacks. As I called, out comes Cena to even the numbers.

Cena and New Day stand tall to end the show.

RESULT: The Club wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Not a bad match at all. I like The Club as a three man team with Styles a lot more than I like just Anderson & Gallows, but the Cena run in was predictable. However I am getting more and more excited for Money in the Bank.
